Hello,

Recently for past few weeks i have noticed that my fps is going down even in normal places, in a empty place like Faction base my fps is between 14-20 during heavy actions or combats in Delta or TW fps goes down to 4-6 ends up crashing.

My graphic's drivers & other drivers are updated while playing PWI i don't use any type of toolbars which will cause a conflict with the game except Winamp for music. Only the fan of my SMPS is not working properly which i will be replacing as soon as i get time from work .

Any help will be appreciated.

Interesting to get a good look at your system Specs Sizzer. =) You have the same chipset as I do but yours is 0.5GHz faster, and I have twice the RAM. b:pleased I am curious as to what your FPS was previously. For mine with the 8800GT 512MB (which is a bit better than the 9500), I was getting 12-14 on the low end in TW, 26-26 in arch, and mid 50's to low 60's everywhere else. (And now with a GTX650, and twice the video ram, the numbers for the client are still pretty much the same, but I have Shadows on now.)

That 9500GT is a bit outdated though, but even then, those are some awfully low numbers. I get that with my inbred Intel GMA3000 driver, and everyone knows what kind of **** that is. (Pretty much playing anything since 2004 is daunting and since 2006 is damn near impossible.)

So, lets dive in and see what we've got.....
Your DxDiag is clean, drivers are up to date, everything checks out, and I don't see any video or audio codecs that I am aware cause problems.

For the Speccy report (I've been seeing a LOT of these lately LOL. Unfortunately, not from many people here that I could help.)
Your video card is running a bit warmer at 62C, but that's within specs and close to normal for that series Nvidia because they had **** cooling layouts.

Your CPU though is exceptionally hot. Both your motherboard's Northbridge reading and your CPU are showing close to 100C. You might get that in a laptop with poor cooling after long periods of heavy use, but it's not something you would see on a regular desktop system like yours. (Just in comparison, my GTX650 is at 35C, Motherboard reads 38C and CPU is at 44C.

With your system that hot, it's definitely going to cause an issue on the data bus. If your system can't exhaust the heat, maybe opening the case and putting a desk fan there to cool it will work till you get a new fan in your PSU, or a new PSU.

Question for you after you help Sizzer:

Is there any way to help with lowering the temp of a laptop (other than one of those laptop fan things), and how much of an impact does that have with performance?

Laptops tend to run hotter because of the limited space and poor cooling methods used. What I did was get some large square rubber cabinet stops and placed them on the bottom of my laptop to keep it raised higher on the surface. Also, always keep it on a hard, flat surface.

I'm a bit exrteme in that I additionally completely dismantled it and then used arctic silver and replaced the cheap heat transfer pads with more efficient ones. I had future plans to replace the cooling fan with something more robust, but the laptop is past the end of it's life cycle and it's time to look for a new one so I'll probably just replace the battery and pass it to my daughter.

If you're going to get a cooling pad, it doesn't have to be expensive. Something like this is quiet, cheap, very effective, and additionally expands your USB port capability.

Well i will surely get a new PSU as soon as i get some time, regarding the Temperature of MB and CPU i think the speccy is showing wrong info about it becoz when i check the the temp through BIOS setting it shows 50-60 C in average. Now i don't know who to believe b:surrender

Thanks Sylen :3. (I already have one of those cooling fans, but the only solution is really to just get a desktop for major gaming I guess lol)

To ad a bit to that - remember to clean the fans and the air intake and blow out point's - It's amazing how much dust there can be in a laptop or Desktop

Yes, just be careful not to over-rev the fans. I blew out a bearing on a laptop fan once because of that.

Today i brought a new PSU, but still the temperature is goes upto 98 - 99 C the performance of game is still bit low in arch i'm getting like 5-8 fps & cube of fate 22-24.
Except gaming i can do net-suffering or watching a video on youtube or doing anyother work is just perfectly fine. I have checked the temp from my Bios setting it shows 70 C and Motherboard is 50 C.
Any suggestion how to get rid off it ?

I was out mobile so couldn't look at your data in detail a bit ago.

I would check all the exhaust fans for clearance, make sure there's cool airflow to the PC case in general, and maybe even try leaving the side off with an external fan to see if it changes anything.

If not, what I would do would be to check that the fans are spinning properly. take the fan off of the CPU and make certain that there isn't a lot of dust stuck in the heatsink. As I'm always one to take it a step further, I would even go as far as removing the heatsink, removing all the thermal compound and re-applying it with Artic Silver.

I did some research on your board, and people doing extreme overclocking on it are getting temps around 67C, but we're talking about pushing the CPU speed up to 3.2GHz and over-volting it.

Always start with the fans though. Wife had a similar issue with hers once, and it turned out to be the fans going bad. First the GPU, then the Northbridge, then I just replaced the CPU fan since I wan in there anyway.
