Actually, I said two systems - not revert back to the old. And, obviously the plan to get smaller factions to pay even more than during the old system to attempt to bid epicly failed. The guy that made that plan believeable is a heck of a salesman. *giggles*

It was complaints of bid stacking - big guy TW won out!

But, you know, IF there is no Easter Bunny, and miracles can't happen...okies.

Adding an alternate Territory War system just isn't a good idea. All it will accomplish is further dividing this server removing the incentive to advance. As Epros said, why should we "promote laziness and unwillingness"? Why would people be willing to work toward end-game when they can take the easy way out and just keep doing the lower level TW? That's going to do nothing for taking out the actual top faction.

I would also like to address Mechsiao's misconception. Resetting the map every 6 months actually removed the incentive to work toward change. Why bother when you can give a half-assed attempt, and then just wait 6 more months hoping something will change? Why try when, even if you do succeed, you'll only reap the rewards of your labor for a couple of months at best. There were quite a few changes in the regime before that update. Now one faction has held mostly uncontested power for a considerable amount of time. Why? Because they easily get it all back after the 6 month mark rolls around again. Vicious may eventually get bored and disband, but the most anyone on RT can say is that they sat around and waited for it to happen. Where's the glory or sense of accomplishment in that?

Oh okay, keeping things pretty much as they are creates a lot of incentive for small factions to bid.

Let's examine that...

Yeah, dont change nothing. They wont revert it back though. If anyone wants to stack (not that its still doable) they will have to do it in 10 Million Notes!

Somehow expect that to make something progress and create incentive.

there is a lack of any considerable coinsink in the economy and an overabundance of coin being generated. 10 mil is nothing. absolutely nothing. people have this misconception over a numerically large number holding an intrinsically large value. without the coinsink of TW, inflation will take its toll on the server economy until the devs are forced (by the unwillingness of smaller factions because "omg 10mil with an m it must be a lot") to increase TW costs to restore balance. then TW truly WILL be a rich mans game. sit around and cry all you want, i dont care anymore

It requires common sense and a desire to do it, which are not sentiments that are promoted by Perfect World in its current state. Giving more handouts and encouraging people to play the game on easy mode is not the way to fix it.

Actually that was what I meant and what developers did not foresee. The aim was to allow smaller factions to tw without having to create a low lvl tw but it seems at least for our server there is no coalition amongst smaller factions to abuse this new system whereby the top faction could actually be absolved of map dominance by ganking.

Ofc that is assumed that smaller factions can field a substantial number of players to beat the towers and defenses but then again it wouldnt work if majority of the less tw active faction are alts lol. Small isnt the right word cuz apparently they have close to 200 members too b:laugh

the amount of TW bidding is 10 mill, 20 mills and so on. But after bidding, gm will refund 90% from amount of coin that we use to bid. so basically for bidding TW its not cost much. unless a faction bids min 100 mills or more.
