I would like to know how I can earn more tokens from the NW event, what determines how many tokens u get?

personal credits.

You gain credits by: killing people, taking and successfully capturing the flag, being in an instance when the battle in it ends, I think that escorting the flag carrier would give an ammount of credits too, not sure though since when you have to escort there's people attacking your flag carrier so you get kill credits.

Your total personal credits show up in the main map (the one you use to move around), and underneeth them there's the nation credits. Being in the nation with the most credits also helps you get more tokens, so the harder you work to make your nation win, the more tokens you will get in the end.

Points are apparently awarded from all actions - attacking, killing, picking flag, delivering flag and all together how many territories your nation owns.

I know from personal experience that kills, flag defense, capping flags and just being on the winning side in general give points.

Adding on to this rather than starting a new thread.

Does anyone know... if somebody can't stay the full two hours for NW but still wants to participate (for an hour say), can they log out when done or do they have to leave their char logged at home base and just afk to receive a reward?

Some people can't stay that long due to the time of day and are curious, and nobody seems to have any answers on this.

The best way to do this would probably be to WC on your server to see if anyone has got a reward if they logged out early or if the reward is only at the end. I can vouch that you can still get a high reward if you come in late, I was an hour late for the first NW and still managed to get 183 tokens. I only got 122 the 2nd time and I did much better, but my server's turnout was also much greater.

If I remember correctly, you should still get a reward so long as you participated a bit, even if you leave the war entirely.

i know for sure you can still get your reward if you leave...my brother left the first Nation War early and still got his

Escorting doesn't get you any extra. Only the person carrying the flag and scores it. Unless you kill people trying to kill the escorter, your gonna have to deal with following and gaining nothing.

So you get nothing for healing people? Seems like that would be something that should be encouraged. Either way I had a ton of fun at my first NW. I don't usually fight people but I managed to kill around 7 or 8 and only died about 11 or 12 times.

I was flying around spamming mystic eye and healing/shielding people mostly. Did pretty well for not having a squad.

Took about 4 minutes to figure out how to move to each zone etc. Spent a lot of time locked out of every battle, and some of the ones I was defending we never even saw any of the offense the whole match.

If healing gave personal credit, then clerics would spam alt's and vice versa to get the highest amount of personal credit and best rewards aka bot healing for 2 hours afk...hence why they made it you have to hit to get credit..

Best for the clerics to fight. This isn't TW, its capture the flag and protect the flag runner at all costs.

I wanted to add that you must stay in each war until the fight ends. Hopping from war to war, win or lose, without finishing it, will significantly reduce your chances for higher amount of tokens.

2 successful runs with the flags gave me 600 (if i remember well) personal points - was a 2 vs 3 battle so had nothing better to do lol

Well I for one will not be particpating in any more NW events.

2 hours of totally wasted time, I got 515 personal points, no kills even tho I am certain I killed a couple, can't remember how many squad points and at the end I go to mailbox to be told you didn't earn enuff points either personal or otherwise therefore you recieve NO TOKENS.

Firstly coz what a letdown, secondly Clerics get killed real quick, so hard to earn points, thirdly coz I never wanted to fight people anyway and thats why I joined Heavens Tears, as its pve.

So now, myself and others won't really be happy with this situation unless they do something so that people want to once again do nirvana runs.

So thank you very much PWI , I have only just reach 100 (as a cleric) and now I have limited options for getting raps/uncannies to do my gear.

You get points for healing damage. That means IH'ing someone with full HP won't give you anything.

You get points for being on the battlefield. You get points for surviving hits (with Plume Shell or maybe an invincible making apoth it isn't that hard), thus a charm should be considered. Also, attack when you feel safe, i.e. when no one else but your target is around or if you are surrounded by many people from your nation. Run away if you see no hope (if you were stunned use badge of courage on your genie). Defense charms will also help you (especially against mag classes with + 10+ refined weapons and/or high attack levels ).

At least that's how I got about 6k contribution as an averagely geared (in my case R8 +5/6) Cleric yesterday and last Sunday. Also consider, if you were in the losing nation you would recieve much less tokens than if you were in the winning one (imo the range is too high, though).

Maybe next time you are luckier

Well this is suppose to increase the want to win. Also sometimes you are in winning nation and sometimes in loosing, after long period of time it will even up.

People are already working on personal score much rather then contribute to nation.

You are absolutely right. I just thought I pointed that out as a sideline, as many people from my faction were annoyed by the low rewards in comparison to last week (because they were directed into the nation which lost in the end).
