Do you mean active people playing everyday/week/month, or most people with accounts on a server whether they have played in a few years or not?

I have only played on sanctuary, and sanctuary is well populated if you don't do quests b:shocked. I still see people doing quests from time to time though b:victory.

On Lost City server, you'll be alone.

I started a new char a couple months ago, just leveling up by
doing quests, grinding, etc. I can play for 4 & 5 hrs at a
stretch, and never--and I literally mean NEVER--see another player
out in the world. Ive been on at different times of the day, and
always the same. LC seems now to be totally end-game, instance-based.

I have a char on Sanctuary, and it's somewhat better. I'll
occasionally run across another player doing quests. Never tried
the other servers.

The more populated servers seem to be the pioneering servers(Sanct, HT, DW..)

Heavens tear is good, I am in the UK, but before the EU servers I had no idea what to pick, ping varies between 200 and 600 depending where you are in PW.

I have made all my friends through BH, FF, FB and general world chat.

Two years ago I leveled a cleric to 30 in LC, I quested for days without seeing anyone. Of course when I got to Arch, they were all there killing low levels. b:cry

I moved to Archosaur, and its not rare seeing low level chars questing in weekends but my time of play is when it's late night in USA so, in the other time frame, or during weekdays may not be as much people.

I never played on other servers than Harshlands and I can't complain about it
Nowadays it's very rare seeing someone above lvl 40 doing quests (because of bounty hunt, not even talking about the fc) but on my sin, main and 1st char, I did normal quests till lvl 70 i think.. I think I also did a few at lvl 80 but as I started doing fc at that lvl and quests got too boring compared to that... Now at lvl 98 I just do Morai quests

I like PvP servers, but yea you will get pk a lot while quest after level 30 by people way much more high level than you so if you don't want that you should chose a PvE server.

Yup...
I hate being pked on my alts while i'm questing peacefully... And when I have buffs from other classes and then lost them all >.<
Worst is when someone high lvl kills me, then I go back to city and come back to the quest place and that person is there and doesn't let me quest there, killing me continuously each time I go back to there (Silver Pool for example!) -.-

Well that is just funny cause the mobs you kill at silver pool can be found somewhere else, so people could just go a bit more far and do it in peace, but some people will stand directly in the PvP spot and complain they get pk will they quest... Just go a other spot where there's the same mobs and you wont have any problem.

On HL my first deeath on my last 3 chars wasn't by a mob or boss, but was all by a sin (not the same sin for the 3 chars) that pop on me and pk me than when i go back in safe zone and check the sin is level 90+ and I'm level 30-35...

I do love PvP, but when I chose it, not when I quest on a level 40 char by someone level 100.

When there's having pvp in the zone, I don't go there.. But when there's no one it's a good place to kill mobs...

For the quests at Silver pool the mobs can be find more far where there's no pk, but anyway everywhere we finish to be pk.

Desdi - Sanctuary

The most populated servers are the oldest ones (Heaven's Tear, Lost city, Sanctuary) but I think Harshlands and Dreamweaver have a big population too.

I'm finding that getting pk'd now while out doing is quests is WAY less
likely than it was 2-3+ years ago.

I started my first char over 3 yrs ago on LC, and could count on being
pk'd at least once every time I got on to play. People were everywhere
all over the map, and it was treacherous to go anywhere outside of safe
zone. The faction RageQuit was an absolute terror.

I started my new char about 3 months ago, and have been pk'd just once.
And all I do is the normal quests, etc. I do the bh's usually, but after that,
it's plain grinding & questing out in the world. Like I said earlier in thread,
there are NO players out there anymore. I can grind in total peace, lol.

Raging Tide server is an excellent place to go for a large population. There is still a lot of low level questing going on.

Dreamweaver has a decent population and I see low levels questing fairly regularly. Not sure if they're just alts or actual new players, but I've talked to several people that are new to the game. There are many people that are willing to help with various bosses and instances. Also, in a recent timed event that required server cooperation, Dreamweaver completed the event every night in about 45 -90 minutes while the PVP servers only finished it a few times, and then when people tried to turn in for the reward, they were continuously pk'd by some high level jerks. I'm actually a HL refugee from about 3 years ago. I left there after getting tired of not being able to complete even the simplest quest without being repeatedly pk'd.

lol I'm havin' tons of fun on Lost City!

It's not so much a low population that's the problem. It's that 75% of the population is fail.

There's SO much to do in this game, but all anyone wants is frost and pk.

But there's still a bunch of us that don't suck. The trick I think is to find a decent active guild.
