Im a total newb

Hi guys, fun game, i've been playing for about.. 3-4 weeks now. Got my cleric up to 69 ( im sick of quests )

Im not a total mmo newb, as i used to play Dark age of Camelot(best mmo ever)but there are a few things that really bother me about being a cleric in this game, if there are any tips or comments i would really appreciate them =p

#1- im so ****ing slow, seriously what reason is there to have this class be slow as molasses? I bought a lobster, cuz seriously lobsters are sick, but there's a big grey line coming out of it, really annoying!

#2-Ironheart Blessing. I hate this skill, this isn't healing. :x Sucks that it's so effective i have to use it, but it just doesn't feel like healing to me, anyone else? :x

#3- Is there a way to turn off the emoticon things? omg so annoying :p b:laughb:chuckleb:pleased <- i hate these

#4-Casting seems a little weird in this game, there isn't much flow from spell to spell :x

#5- Lag. Omg it goes from 90-1500 lag seemingly at random, so annoying :x

#6- almost lv 70, and i have yet to actually really heal a full group of people. Just solo quests and then usually a high lv helping with fb/bh. Not exactly what i expected.

#7-Buying stuff with real money is stupid.

Anyways, just wanted to comment on a few things, any tips would be great! =p

    You're a caster: you don't need to approach every single mob to kill it as you can stand in one spot and kill those around you without moving. You also are a healer which means you shouldn't be the fastest to get to the next mob.

    It would be nice to keep up with the people i want to heal though! :p

    I do, but IH is by far the one i cast the most. Is this not the case for most clerics?

    Computers decent, definitely good enough to play on the lowest settings (which i do) Computer specs really wouldn't have anything to do with ping though would it ?

    Some other things that bother me about this game.

    Maybe im nit picking but it really bugs me to see motorcycles and **** like that. I know it's just a game, but why is my chick even using a sword if this technology is exists?!

    Umm, people flying around on swords. Wow.

    Fashion. Lol wtf is this barbie

    Why are actions you do not tracked, like spells cast etc, imo it should be in the general message box( along with picking up **** ) I never see this box used :x

    I keep getting message about people getting items. I don't give a ****

    It breaks my heart knowing that a game like this lives, when a FAR FAR FAR superior MMO in Dark Age of Camelot is dying :x

    This game has some of the ****** **** i have ever seen.

    People that run ahead of healer typically don't need healing or are idiots. After choosing a class partly for it's innate land speed: they came out with genies and Holy Path. I find this mostly to be an issue for my Wizard since Holy Path takes energy from my genie that I'd need for expel after HP anyway. Never ran into such an issue playing healing toons

    IH use is dependent on situations.

    Firefox is a browser, Adblock is an Add-on.

    Computer limitations can affect ping or latency.

    QQ and more QQ.

    If u you have all these complaints why dont you change game. thats how it was designed firsthand , and it doenst change or ever will.

    If u are offensive about , well , all the unique features of this game (that make it different from others) , then quit it and go on a new one.


    Also , dont compare it to another game and dont state it was best or things like that
    advertising other games not owned by Perfect World Entertainment is against theTerms of Service.

    You do know that IH stacks, right? Meaning casting it 5 times = Nearly impenetrable shield of awesome that allows me, a squishy full mag cleric, to tank multiple physical mobs my level at one time while solo grinding.

    gl in 69 by the way. Wish I was there to watch, it'd be totally worth the exp loss. b:bye

    To be honest, I'd suggest that you go in a bh39 squad, and practice your craft as a cleric. Its a good ground to start on, and at your level shouldn't be too deadly for you.

    Get the genie skill Holy Path. Having a second pair of armor that has speed add ons helps a little too. But DEFINATELY get holy path.

    Level it up to 10. This is healing. The purpose of Ironheart is to stabilize. Its a stackable skill, so spam it on whoever you're healing...namely the tank. Use your other heals too. They're their for a reason. (Please don't use blessings of the purehearted while running in an instance.)

    O.o I can't help you with that. (I just suggest creating an attack macro or something.)

    Older computer, High settings, wireless can sometimes cause spikes like that too.

    O.O Wow. I've been healing full groups since fb19. Odd that it hasn't happened to you yet. You'll heal full groups soon enough. You'll wish that you had a second cleric when you meet Cennques Polearm.

    Then don't. There are other ways to acquire them without using real money.

    Anyways, just wanted to comment on a few things, any tips would be great! =p

    lol i srly dunt know what to answer at all, all i could read was complains , not to sound rude but this game just might not be something for you if there's so many things you dislike about it xD
    edit~ ijs there are things tht won't ever change, there are glitches tht have been forever in this game, just gotta accept it rly, players tht have been longer here don't complain anymore they know it doesn't have much use to do so lols and basically for your seperated questions ^above have answered it

    Thanks for the replies, some good information (especially Thumbs and Serenity =p)

    I may of over stated my newbness a bit, as i did know a fair amount in this thread, such as IHs stackng, what purify does, but there was still a lot i learned so thanks =p

    As for people saying maybe this game isn't for me, i think that may be the case :p When does Guild Wars 2 come out? lol

    Personally I don't find the menchanics in this game harder than other games and the cleric class can be frustrating to play. For any newish clerics, I recommend you get a good squad.

    Then choose a class with a movement speed buff. -.-

    It is the best healing skill, whether you like it or not.
