Ok so, I guess BMs are amusing right? Anyway, what's the best weapon a for a completely noob starter BM with no funding at all. Don't be shy, I really want to know lol.
Well, I also want (for those who will post) the recommended build, I guess you need to follow a certain build till 60 and then reset to something else. Should I start with Fists, Axes?
Care to enlighten me?
Thanks.

The recommended build is being able to use fists, axes, poles, and swords. Axes require the most strength per level, 3str/level. Fists require the most dex per level, 2 dex/level. So your 5 stat points would go 3 str/2dex every level. You see that leaves you with no points into vitality, so you need decent refines/gear to compensate and it sounds like that is out of your price range.
I would suggest axes 1-29, fists 29+ as the cheapest build. Axes require alot of mp use and pots to get decent damage, things die slower so you use more hp pots, and all 4 axe skills are useful and should be leveled. Fists build chi quicker so you can spark more often, use Diamond Sutra more often (a self heal) and only really have one skill worth leveling in the fist tree.
I'd suggest 3 strength, 1 dex, 1 vitality until level 29, then switch to 3 strength/2dex. This gives you a little vitality but not alot. Endgame you'll pull out your vitality and restat down to 3, so this means you don't need to remove alot of stat points. At 30+ you can switch to fists, even though it really doesn't make much of a speed difference in killing things it allows you to spark more often and is cheaper. Don't neglect refines for hp or questing to earn coin.Seven 100+ characters leveled the hard way. Free to play. Mystic, Psychic, and Wizard left to level. b:victory0 -
Its good to be curious and wise to try to build your character the right way. I suggest you read about different builds, there is lots of info available just ask google, gl0

As a Fist BM after 29 is the best thing why? I'm sorry to ask but I just want to make sure.
Would I be able to do the "role" of a BM such as Tank, DD "perhaps". And I guess I'll be squishy no?0 -
Let me put it this way
This is an end game build for some, without refines
The same build with refines.
Without refines, even though the bm has awesome gear, will get killed quickly and hardly do much. At lower lvls there is no need to refine in my opinion.
BM's for most part are dd's until they get end game gear and refine it. Until 80's, 90's, best to let barbs, sin tank due to their skills, aps. At 99~100, you get the aps bonuses and set kicking in. I never worried about being a dd, tank when playing. Just had fun, played with horrible gear and later started getting my end game gear in act.
Personally it is best to be second or third best dd in the group, repair costs will be small compared to tank, main dd.0 -

Prior to -int gear axes and fists kill at the same speed. Fists attack a little faster, axes hit a little harder. You might save yourself a hit or two when the boss only needs one more attack to die and you wait for axe attack speed when fists would have quickly killed it.
Also, you will build chi quicker which is good for skills like Diamond Sutra (your heal) and you can spark more often. These two factors mean you will use almost no chi and things will die quicker than if you were using axe skill. The 1v1 damage is better for fists, but the aoe damage of axes makes them preferable for multiple mobs.
3str/2dex is the highest damage output build whether you use axes or fists. Yes you will have enough hp and defense to tank your BHs. If you went for axe only, or a axe+Vit build you would not be able to hold aggro and would not tank your BHs.Seven 100+ characters leveled the hard way. Free to play. The only bad aspect about fists is that, there isn't any quest that gives you a "decent" one, and because I don't have funding I have to use the NPC ones.0

This is true, which is why axes for the first 30 levels are nice. You get some excellent axes as quest rewards at level 19,20, and 30. However, if you have a high level you can now use Divine Orders to make legendary fists pretty much every 10 levels.Seven 100+ characters leveled the hard way. Free to play. I don't have a high level /sad
I might as well stay with hammers till god knows when .________________.
Edit: Now that I get close to 29 I find extremely confusing between choosing Axe and Fist, right now, I'm using the Hammers that you get from the Chest and I'll probably use them to 29, after that I don't know what to do e.e
I'll guess when I hit 29 I'll do 3 STR and 2 DEX on my build but the Weapon is meh, I currently have 120k so I'll guess when I hit 29 I'll buy an Axe or Fist from the NPC, can't get any better . . .
Another thing that is extremely confusing is whether I choose Axe or Fists, what skills to have and what fighting methods should I use . . . I don't know if at THAT level it's worth to try getting coins.0 -
You can craft your early fists. Either buy the cheapest mats and level weaponsmith to the proper level with the easiest items (bows usually), and then craft 1 or 2 fists for the upcoming level you will be using them. Then use cheapy craft items to level weaponsmith up and repeat. Even a +phys atk or some sockets on a made pair will usually make it better than axes with the other benefits.
Or just troll the AH each day and buy up any cheap fists/claws you see ahead of time. Hunt your newbie BM lvl to 20 levels above will have them waiting for you when you get them. LVl 60+ you'll be using Legendary fists/claws and it'll be easier.Fist are the worst at PvP AND PvE, if you disagree, as I said, take it to PM's or make your own guide. Go here if you want to debate about it. - Lyndura
Get a High lvl Fist warrior use it, Restat to axes. GG - complexx
