dye color chances

What are the chances when buying random dye packs to get a useful non "look at me, I'm walking a foo foo puntamutt toy poodle down the street" color? I can understand making fashion purchases random colors, to make you buy dye, but come on, let me buy the dye color I want! None of the pink, and magenta, or sky blue, or neon green, or bright yellow. I want better colors. If I wanted those colors I would buy a bag of skittles. As it is now, no matter what the fashion looks like, I think I will be avoiding anymore purchase of it until I can buy the dye colors I want.

    Use dq points for random dyes and it's free, depending on your luck you may have to try a few times.

    I am not sure if this is a rumor but does the location of the NPC that dyes outfits have any bearing on colors you might get using random dye?
