APS.

This demands explanation...seriously..I'm confused..

I was, earlier, 2.00 APS. With demon spark (25% atk speed) I was 2.86.
I finally get my hands on deicides, 2.22 normal..still 2.86 sparked..
If I go on with my plan of 2 ashura pieces, I will become 2.5 normal, 3.33 sparked..
Then either Lunar Cape or Nirvana legs will go 2.86..and 4 sparked..

Now, i'm not a math scientist but :

2.00 + 25% = 2.5, not 2.86...
2.22 + 25% = 2.78 or so..still not quite 2.86
2.50 + 25% = 3.13 or so..not 3.33
2.86 + 25% = 3.575, not really 4..

Is there something I don't catch here ? lol. Maybe i'm not using right formula...

I also want to know if it's my mind that plays trick on me, or the multiple dc's, or lag, or whatenot. But I do "think" I saw a increase of hitting speed when sparked compared to when I had GV. Even if both, theoricly speaking, showed 2.86 as aps when sparked.
So what is it really, i'm just paranoid ? Tired ?

My thoughts right now are that with GV , I WAS going 2.5 but game was showing 2.86 and NOW with Deicides I REALLY go near the 2.86. You will tell me that 0.36 shouldn't be noticable to the eye but I have a low FPS and will have to do more tests. I will actually try to count how many hits I actually give with GV DURING spark and how many I give with Deicides. May take countless hours and mobs but i'm willing to test it (also have to , of course, test it on a boss that will last long enough) Heck, better do it now then when I go 5, then, people could call me crazy..lol

So what do you think ?

Think there could be a difference between showed APS in char screen and actual APS in game ?

Think my calculating formula is bad ? If so, please direct me to a better one so I can grasp it more..

Ty for any kind of clarifications..

And remember, game is a game, take it easy, don't stress. And if u meet someone in forums just rambling on a subject that seems stupid or of no importance, well just don't answer b:chuckle
Proud supporter of the new expansion. Sure it has it's share of bugs, like any games. But for a pure farmer/grinder, that's a whole lot of new mobs to go beat up b:chuckle

You're thinking of APS the wrong way. The formula is based on seconds per attack instead of attacks per second.

2.0 = 0.5 seconds between each attack. That x 0.75 (25% reduction from spark) = 0.375. PWI rounds that to 0.35 since APS intervals are based on 0.05 intervals (hence why -int is either 0.1 or 0.05) which means 2.86 attacks per second.
    2.22 = 0.45 seconds between each attack. That x 0.75 = 0.3375... again rounded to 0.35 which nets 2.86 attacks per second.

2.5, on the other hand = 0.4 seconds between each attack. That x 0.75 = 0.3 seconds between attacks... aka 3.33 APS.

Nice table, but someone , somewhere, obviously doesn't know how to count ( I know it's not you don't worry b:chuckle)

20% and 25% boost gives same value on 3 occasions ? What kinda rounding up or down is that ?

I even put it in a scientific calculator. And here's values I got :

    (1/.65) + 20% = 1.85
    (1/.65) + 25% = 1.92

    (1/.45) + 20% = 2.66
    (1/.45) + 25% = 2.77

    (1/.40) + 20% = 3
    (1/.40) + 25% = 3.125

I know it's technicly very small numbers, but is someone in PWE head office messing with us on this or just simply failed maths ?

Edited : Took me too long to calculate and repost but I did saw ur reply and now I catch it a tad more..Ok so I was the one seeing it wrong..Guess i'll go to bed a tad less stupid tonight...
