Account activation

So yeah, after being back into the game for 2 months I realized duel clienting is now legal as long as a few guidelines are met. I was like "sweet I can vend and play at the same time". I went through the normal account creating steps and everything went smoothly. I got my account activation E-mail and clicked the link and it read something along the lines of "congratulations your account has been verified". However when I logged in it error'd so I was like maybe I spelt my user wrong, so I did the whole forgot username option and it read something like "this email isn't linked to any pwi account" and I'm thinking "why in gods name would I have your E-mail then?".

Is there some sort of waiting period on these things?
