or have a 5 min TW and win?


pls only answer if you have been in at least 3 of those two kinds of TW

ps: im not complaining bout 90% of tws lasts 5min.

    Three hours is a bit too long for me, life would get in the way, so I chose the 5 minute winning. Also, to be honest I like winning...And free stuff from my faction leader...A lot. ._. Yay for free mold weapons each time I grow out of one?

    3 hours would get dull.
    5 minutes is like pew pew pew done...no fun really.

    I think a TW that lasts about a hour is more fun, and has more of a challenge between each guild.

    imho any TW over 2 hours is likely to be a 'draw' anyway.

    2 hours enough for me... but still a lot of sequences to reccord...
    I prefer 3 hours for the fun to do it

    kinda depends on the fac I'm in and who we're fighting. When I was in a 7x+ TW against a 7x+ TW fac, it was a fun battle because most of the people in the TW were my lvl and I felt like I could help.

    In TWs where most people are 100+ and have omgwtfisthatr9 armor, I feel useless and a 3 hour TW would get boring within the first 30minutes of me getting killed every time I came anywhere near the battle.

    Any TW longer than 90 minutes and I start going afk. I just don't have the patience to grind out a PvP battle for 3 hours.

    Having brutal charm/pkpot raep for 3 hours and losing is much more fun than a crystal walk.

    3 hour TWs are stressful, but that's the most fun aspect of this game.... having a brutal war with a well matched opponent and fighting for hours until time is up or there is a victor is what this game is all about.

    imho any TW over 2 hours is likely to be a 'draw' anyway.

    No way. The wars that last over two hours have been some of the most exhilarating wins/losses. When you manage to kill the enemy crystal with only a few minutes left, or the tides of balance shift back and fourth and there is a win or a loss near the time limit is great.

    What is extremely tiring is if you have one or two 3 hour wars every weekend. Charm and pot costs start to mount up quickly.

    I don't really care if my faction is losing or winning if TWs are going to be that long. I'm in it for the thrills and kills.

    I like to win. This is a stupid comparison. A better one to measure feelings about the length of the TW ONLY would be to have the other conditions the same.

    The best TWs are the ones that the winning team won based on endurance, and strong leadership... Somthing you won't find in a 5 minute win. If you win in 5 mins, you won because you had members in numbers, or more credit card numbers...who can take pride in that?


    But then again, some people fap the night away after a 5 min victory...

    I was in a TW where we lost with 20 minutes left on the clock.

    I was in a TW tonight where we won because the clock ran down... The attacking faction never got a cata in base onto the crystal (that I know of, nobody get upset if I'm wrong), but we did put catas on their crystal.

    I'd prefer a 1 hour to 1 hour 30 minute TW. 2 hours is too long, 3 hours is ridiculous. 20 minutes is a rush, but... It shows you or your opponent were not up to the task of attacking/defending (and believe me, I've been in that situation before, too many times now).

    If I was forced to choose, I'd choose the 5 minute TW though, because then my TW prep mats (Apo, charm, etc.) would last for another week, assuming no horrible FCC's or TT's happened to eat my charm away (running on a Silver HP charm here lmao).

    Personally, I'd prefer 3 hour TWs and losing. That means that the forces are very evenly matched and leads to some exhilaratingly fun TWs. There's a reason that when I started playing PWI again, I rolled LC--for good pvp. Who would turn down a 3 hour strategic pk fest?

    I guess now is when I should reflect on "Be careful what you wish for."

    Three hours is far better. For the first two hours of one, you are either fairly one sided or going back and forth. In that third hour though is where the fun really begins. People get tired, get thirsty, get hungry, that Barb who is busy pulling catas really needs to take the Browns to the Super Bowl, and everyone is determined to not give in. People waver a little, let up, and then bring their game back up and into overdrive to push back.

    However, this does depend on whether it is truly a back and forth war, or if its just one side attacking and the other playing the turtle. Just attacking or defending isn't fun. Pushing them out of your base and into their own, and vice versa, that is where the fun is.

    However, anything that is at least about 30 mins long is a decent TW, and fun itself. If it's five minutes, it really was not worthwhile for either side to go. Winning faction might as well have just had a wined TW.

    In all Honesty though i would prefer a TW to last 1 or 2 hours depending on the rivalry of the opposing factions.

    The longer the Tw the more actual balance those two teams have...though tw is a joke it needs more than a base vs. B base and crystals..need some checkpoint areas to be taken would be nice...and until the check points are taken...then! The crystal will be available to be attacked...maybe have two check points but both would have to be taken over by a team to get the crystal open...something like that would actually have better squad play in this dumb game.

    I pick 5 min TW and winning definitely b:chuckle.

    When a TW lasts longer than 2 hours or so its just not fun anymore, specially for European players when its 4-7 in the morning. Than its more fun fixing a rot canal at the dentists really. During those 3 hours TW when its 7 AM i usually start to loose track of place, location, time because i haven't slept yet. I run into our own base thinking im gonna Barrage the Crystals and wonder where everyone else is. Fly into the rival factions all +12 DDs by myself because i cant find B5 on the map and i dont even know where my party is because with the map lag it takes 5 min to get real location of the green dots. Just doing hopeless and stupid stuff, and everyone in vent just sounds bblehblehblehble and i have no clue whats going on.

    Best is a 1 - 1.5 hour TW really and of course winning is always more fun. Loosing means some people will get butthurt and start blaming each other. If i lived in the US i would probably enjoy a 3 hour war way more.

    What really sux, is those that rather have a 5 minute win clump up into one faction and wtfpawn the entire map, and ruin it for those who would rather enjoy a 2+ hour TW...

    Some people believe it or not play this game JUST for the weekend TWs. And nothing worse then getting all hyped up for TW, gettting your battle station (your desk) all ready for hopefully a long fun battle, got your warfood, warsmokes, and huge mug of coffee and in vent helping rally up all you co-members, just to go either faceroll, or get facerolled in 5 mins...or even just 30 mins.

    QQ about apoth? charms? why even TW? if you want to save that ****, don't TW use it tucked away in an instance.. People running out of that stuff is what makes that 3rd hour the best...means you have out endured, or been out endured, and that is the breaking point.

    Seriously, I wish those that are happy with 5 minute wins would just quit game.. or just go sit in the corner and stroke their own e-peens, let those that enjoy the TW asspect of this game, battle it out equally and balanced.

    I like very few people I know have always refused to join the top TW factions, mostly because they are compiled of people that would rather have a positive win, rather than earn that win.

    Between these two choices, 5 minutes just to get it over with.

    However, those rare times that I do tw, I can last up to an hour. Anything after that I get tired, sleepy, and bored big time.

    For me, it depends.

    If it's a fac I personally don't like or don't know, I'd like it to be over quick.

    If it's a fac I know and love, like Awakening, I wouldn't mind a 3 hour TW, because then we're all (mostly) having fun.

    Last night's 3 hour with Outlaw was fun...but I had such a terrible headache during the last half. @_@

    Been in alot TW's over the years I play and well
    5min = boring just way to easy pew pew and then get QQ

    3 hours = fun! okay I prefer to win just a few minutes before but how longer it takes the more fun it is and with some luck every time an experience and new minds on a strategy for next time
