Reputation aquisition

Does anyone ever get all their reputation from the One Many Army quests? Even for the 3 rep. per quest OMA, I have to do 275 One Man Army quests per day for 1 whole year to get all the reputation a character can get.

ummm i dont really get what your saying but...i highly doubt people do one man army quests nowadays as it is easier to get rep by rep badges which gives 25 rep each badge[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Those quests are plain obsolete, don't bother with them.
Even before Reputation become so cheap,it was simply insane to farm Rep with these quests, meh, maybe you could get 35k rep for the Lv.90 Reputation armor, but that takes, assuming that 60 mobs = 3 reputation so 20 mobs = 1 reputation, that means 20x35.000=700.000 Monsters, assuming you take 10 secs on average x mob that's 7.000.000 seconds or 116666,6 Minutes or 1944 hours or 81 days straight killing 1 mob every 10 secs.
Plain stupid,as simple as thatWTB>More Fash

i do one man army quests, but mainly as a way to put a timer on my grinding. the rewards aren't worth it, no.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] Heaven's Tear alts: KenLubin, Sou_Hon, JudyCaraco --- level 5x chars.0

I ... I ... I actually tried to farm reputation from One Man Army, and after months only got up to 16xx. So I asked... . Even at 45 silver for 50 Badges, I still need 200+ gold to buy most of the reputations! But right now I'm already looking at Endless Grinding to try and save up for the Wings of Cloudcharger, it seems great for improving cleric survival rate...b:cry
To add frost onto snow, I just made a bad investment with all my coin/gold, and I'll be lucky to just get even again...[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
folks farmed rank 8 before there were rank sales, or rank 9, in the game. but they sure didn't do it with one man armies. they farmed instances for darkness stamps (and coin), and bought other people's darkness stamps for coin. even so, i'm sure it must've been brutal.
ah, those were the days when rank armor MEANT something... nowadays, you see a rank weapon in game and you just say, "there goes $XX.YY from the cash shop", nothing more.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] Heaven's Tear alts: KenLubin, Sou_Hon, JudyCaraco --- level 5x chars.0 -

b:sad I'll never graduate from Idiot University. So basically farm for coin, lots and lots and lots of coins...[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
farm for coin --- or merchant for coin, or cashshop for coin. but if you truly want rank 8, i'd advise you to (after you get a good deal of coin, or gold, or both) wait for one of the now-occasional general summer's sales on reputation and rank-related stuff. buying reputation badges and such is MUCH cheaper during those; during the first one, rank 8 went for less than 100 gold.
if you want rank 9... currently, you'll have to wait on PWE to make a decision as to how the medals of glory will be made available, if at all. until that's settled, rank 9 is all but unavailable in-game. when they were easily achievable, rank 9 went for low four figures U.S. dollars during a sale. that meant heavy cash shoppers and pretty good merchants could get it; farming for it was borderline at best. a thousand-odd gold is a lot of real life money to pour into the game, but the very best merchants out there have amassed billions of gold without cashshopping at all.
(...waaait one bloody minute... i can't believe it took me that long to realize something that obvious about the gold market... but that's off topic, so never mind for now.)
if you want "all the reputation a character can get"... actually, i'm not sure there IS a limit on that. rank 9 needs 300,000 reputation (and level 101), but i dunno if you ever actually stop accumulating reputation or not.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] Heaven's Tear alts: KenLubin, Sou_Hon, JudyCaraco --- level 5x chars.0 -
Hey Hiemus, just wanted to chime in with my two cents.
There are a lot of ways of earning coins on this game, problem is, whether you're patient or not to go with it, and how much you intend to make in what time frame.
First is the question of whether you can leave your computer on for long periods of time or not. If you can, it means you will set up catshop with one account, and train your main on another, since you can multiclientnow (two windows max). Otherwise, it means you have to consider Auction House to sell things.
I know earning coins is a big deal. I've a 8x veno, a 7x cleric and this barb, and a barb sucks coins like there's no tomorrow. I tank FCC/FF almost every day, help people with BH and TT, sooooo repair costs can get pretty high. Add demon skillbooks and you're ready to fall into pieces.
There are a few things you can do. If you have 1-2 mil, you can consider going to Perfect Stones or Mirage Celestones business. Buy from people at x coins, and sell for 10-20% higher. Set up shop at a profitable place, check your competition and offer a price that can put you in a good shape.
Once you hit 10m, you can join my friend's favourite business of buying and selling stuff to people. It can be anything, mount, eqiupment, fashion. Look around archosaur, find something cheap that is worth a lot more, and sell it on Auction House. At this point, you need to do research and see whether there's demand for the things you're selling because no demand, means no sales.
Some people hate buying and selling, they like FARMING. In this case, you can choose to, well, farm for herbs and sell them to catshops. Or farm for mats and sell them as well.
It is a bit slow, I admit. But once you get more coins and capital, you can look to more diversified sourcesof income.Barbs played right are like celebrities, you are welcome in every party - Fistol (Raging Tide)

I'm a chick barb, and I'm proud of it. b:pleased0
