So does that mean its gonna be fixed here???? or is it one of those cultural geographic specific things we keep getting thats just for us and makes our game better?

excluding vids that demonstrate rubberbanding (not sure if they exist), I doubt that there are any vids from pwi with rubberbanding either. most ppl would cut the scene they were rubberbanding anyway.
dont know if some people rubberband all the time but i can go days without rubberbanding.
i think i''ll start keeping track xd0 -
i noticed that there was less stucking in the air, but it's still there (mystic and seeker both playd to level 19)[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

I know this is kinda something I shouldn't be saying but: the amount of rubberbanding depends from the amount of players that cause server lag. If you played a Chinese test server (or a test server from our version) alone, I doubt you'd experience any kind of rubberbanding. However, my tests were done back in 2008...100% F2P player. Started PW: March 2007, Quit PW: March 2011.

No, rubberbanding in pwi has little to do with lag. I am sure there are times where lag will cause rubberbanding, but in pwi, rubberbanding is an easily repeatable glitch. Don't believe me? Jump on top of any NPC's head and then try to run off. That type of rubberbanding has nothing to do with lag. It is a position-based glitch that has been around for as long as I can remember.
I doubt it has been fixed in pwcn. Not many people will record it unless they are making fun of it.0 -

Umm.... you're half right.
Rubber banding is sometimes due to lag. It can be server lag, it can also be caused intermittent internet lag as well. Some rubber banding issues are due to client/server communication or software. If you're on top of an npc and try to move off, there's a different cause for that as well. :PI post in forums. This one and others. That's why I post.0 -
My wife use to rubberband constantly, after dying and releasing, leaving an instance and sometimes at regular intervals at about every 1.25 hours or so, she would have to reboot to fix it. Searched the forums for what seemed like ever looking for a solution and never found any. Decided to google this issue in other games and found the solution to her problem. It appears that multicore processors and this game do not get along very well and she is running an AMD dual core CPU. Downloaded and installed AMD's dual core optimizer which uses a different timing method and it completely solved her problems. If you rubberband a lot for no apparent reason try this, if you already have it installed and rubberband remove it. It's too easy to blame others instead of doing a little work yourself to fix your OWN issues.
Still happens when landing on an NPC or water from a high altitude but flying and dropping again fixes that. This issues is not even worth bringing up again and again.
And we have all experienced lag in game at some point, the game freezes for a sec then back to normal or skills take a few seconds to cast, never seen it rubberband from lag. Don't buy into this reason for it, it has nothing to do with it at all.0 -
Dunno honestly, I cant PK that well on my barb as well, anybody can kite my barb, he rubberbands on landing, every single time. The OHT entering rubberbands on true form, not on humanoid... Dunno, I`m thinking maybe it`s just the game and not my end, things like being on true form or not shouldnt have any role on rubberbanding if it was due something on my end =/.Trolling Sid since So Hot0

IF it was game related everyone would rubberband every time they land dontcha think? Like everyone I know and all my chars and accounts rubberband after landing on an NPC and trying to run off, must be game related. If everyone else doesn't rubberband every time they land (not on an NPC) then it probably is something you can fix. Just sayin, my wife was fed up and ready to leave her 100 cleric to rot before I stumbled on her solution. It's a shame none of the tickets she submitted suggested she try this. Your on your own peeps, fix it yourself, obviously no one else will.
Forgot that ONE ticket was replied to and she was told it was a problem with her DirectX installation. They were totally wrong. Keep that in mind.0 -

Rubberbanding came after 2008. It wasn't an issue when I left the game in early 2009. It was an issue when I came back a month or so ago. Therefore it came in a patch/expansion.
BTW, Opresor, they don't? "Set your affinity" has been a mantra from the GMs since day 1 of PWI, and many other MMOs using "older" engines.[sigpic][/sigpic]

Actually, it was around in '08. It had (seemingly) been fixed for a while, but then during a big patch update it came back, worse than before. Some people risk to employ me

You don't think they'll put rubberbanding in the official vid right?
They just select the fragments without rubberband9 out of 10 voices in my head say I'm not crazy... the 10th is singing the music of tetris0 -
I still rubber band every day on every char I play, but I know what causes it and how to fix it for me.
When Im flying and auto-pathing towards a position, and just before I get to that position I disable fly and fall down, I will rubber band almost 100% of the time. I then hit fly and when I'm on the flyer I move a centimeter away, wait till I stop, disable fly again and fall to the ground, and no rubber banding. This happens irrespective of where I cam on the map.
As a side note I have an old acer computer which I have to play on lowest graphics and which has no dedicated gaming hardware whatsoever.
The only difference I just thought of is my lvl 21 BM, which has no fly. If i jump into a rubber banding situation I usually have to log out and back in to fix it.0 -

It wasn't around when I moved to PWI from another Perfect World that I think I'm not supposed to name (forum rules are vagueish here, since I'm not doing more than using as reference point), and it wasn't on the one I came from. So I'm curious when PWI was broken in beta with breakage other versions didn't have...[sigpic][/sigpic]

The big drop around 1:05 and the building under it. I can't do that at all no matter where I am. I have to fly or I am screwed. But thats just me personally.

Here's the info I found when searching for a solution. Several possible solutions if you continue to have issues.
http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=983781
As far as using an older machine that barley runs the game then the solution is obvious, upgrade, or don't complain. Seriously, if you enter grand prix in a Datsun B210 you don't complain to race officials when you can't compete.0 -

My old computer (back before rubberbanding) was extremely wimpy in comparison to my current computer (now with new and improved feature: rubberbanding!). My box blows away the minimum system requirements as if they were so ten years ago (wait, they are, aren't they?).
And looking at your link, I don't see "Perfect World" in the list of games fixed by any of those solutions. Did you try them yourself?
Also, note that one of the solutions given is bannable, as it modifies the game's executable... Be careful out there.[sigpic][/sigpic]

If you had actually read my previous posts, or any for that matter, you would know that I installed AMD's dual core optimizer on my wifes machine and it hasn't had any issues since. I posted so people with constant problems may find a solution and make the game more enjoyable. Just because perfect world isn't listed doesn't mean it wouldn't work. It's a shame there is so little helpful information from other people on these forums.0 -

Rubberbanding has always been there if the server lag is high enough. Try to run PW server (anything from 2005 to 2011 version) on a P4 with 1gb ram and 500+ players and you'll see. b:chuckle
On offical versions, I don't think there was that much rubberbanding pre-PWI. At least I can't really remember it.100% F2P player. Started PW: March 2007, Quit PW: March 2011.
