How far has rubberbanding gone!

The worst is trying to leave that platform in the center of archo where you get bh, i always rubberband trying to hop down from there. b:cry One time the rubberband (in a different area) worked in my favor though. I was on my mount, and rubberbanded. Finally edged my way away from the area, but was caught in a perpetual "jump" state. So I just jumped all the way to the top. It kind of looked like he was flying. b:victory

I've had this rubberband too, only way to fix it is that flying trick...

I rubberband while jumping,i rubberband while coming down from wings,i rubberband on mount going over uneven ground or up hills,i rubberband while moving over the tiniest little bump,i rubberband here there and everywhere.

2 worst though was a)Rubberbanding when i ran into a pillar in fb69(which incidentally got me killed),and b) rubberbanding when i jumped out of water.

Fux pw for not fixing something thats affecting everyone.

Hopefully they'll fix it with next expansion. if they're going to get new, upgraded graphics, they'll need a new game engine that, hopefully, won't have rubberbanding problems.

Yeah hopefully that's the case. I wonder if the Chinese version of PW ever had this issue? (I wish they'd just revamp the graphics as a whole in the game as well.)

Rubberbanded on the last boss of HH1-3 in the pit. I couldnt drop down so i couldnt help squad kill boss... i was the tank btwb:surrender

Have in mind we have Chinese developers programming our game.
Perhaps it's they're not used to program in our language.
Yes, I'm conscious the programming language is universal, but perhaps they developed a different engine/protocol where using their own language is enabled and when translation comes, some flaws take place, making our game experience inferior compared to that of the CN version.

Or maybe they just put more effort 'cause it's their original version.

Or maybe none of this, and both are messed up.

Or maybe Obama planned all of this.

Um.. did you try relogging? you can leave (or log) a instance for like 10 minutes i think it was before it resets itself. Rubberbanded again just now, but not from falling or even normal walking. I was jumping out of the water, turned on my wings, and a moment later I was back in the water without my wings. Before I could do anything though I glitched out of the water, with my wings.
Rinse, wash, repeat.

I hate it when I rubberband in instances (especially BH59 when we climb on hills to avoid mobs). That happened on my Cleric when she was lower and I couldn't get to my squad to heal them and 2 people died. b:shutup

Just for giggles... I decided to see how long a rubberband would last.

I flew at an altitude of 30 over some water. Dropped in. Got in a rubber band. The seizure inducing kind, where you flash back and forth between the water and air.

Then I turned my monitor off, and read a novel and went to a movie.

8 hours later, I was still stuck in the same rubberband. b:shocked

What I have been agonizing over for the past few months about the rubberbanding... Is it REALLY necessary? I understand the line that's been said of 'It enforces the 15 M/s movement speed cap', but... Were people actually abusing that, or was the patch that caused rubberbanding a 'preemptive strike' on people cheating? I just don't get it, I guess. Especially considering I play on a PVE server, where... going 16 M/s isn't really any kind of advantage over going 10M/s for daily use.

Rubberbanding?.... dropping down the hillside to the mobs at drake is an old classic that I think everyone is familiar with. However, I found a new one today that I have never experienced before. I saw a new player struggling to complete the jump quest in Etherblade. We have over 5 Computer systems in our home. 3 laptops, and 2 Desktop PC's, and if each and every single one of them cannot play PWI - Yet can play games such as FF14 on max graphics flawlessly?

I do love PWI, I love the community. Sure there's a lot of times the cash shop can really peeve me off. But at the end of the day I took this month to see how hard it was to really farm coin. And to be honest, it really isn't hard to farm coin on this game. Sure zhenning is easier. But this is a free to play game they need to profit some how, and as it's their game it's their rules.

I wish however the game devs would put their heads together and really work on fixing the rubber banding issues. It has been a problem developing and growing for a long time and I think we all feel we're not being listened too.

It isn't the computers, it's the programming. Last spring, the rubberbanding was not bad at all. like you said: once in a while in a weird place.

THEN sometime this summer, with one of the patches, they really screwed it up. the rubberbanding has been worse than ever since summer.

SO, right there proves it isnt an individual system thing.
AND you actually proved that by running other games, which ran flawlessly.


no, these, real life business noobnabnubber game developers are their own worst enemy. i will assume that the feedback path from users to developers sucks at best and is probably nearly non-existant.

It must. No game maker leaves a serious functional bug in their game if they are serious about keeping a player base.

AND finally, i smell a cut-and-run coming. they are losing money, pulling out all the stops to sell as much zen as posssible, then pulling the plug. imo: don't anymore of you sell your cars for rank gear lol. you are trading tangible assets for imaginary things that can be take away from you with no effort.

The other day I was makeing a BM. I rubberbanded more on that in one day then I had the whole month B4. But the meesed up one that got me I jumped over a fence and ended up landing on an NPC's head. Couldn't use the teleport function and logging off and back on didn't help. I was stuck ther for 20min trying to run and jump in every direction till I finally got off his head.
