Nirvana Bow or Rank 8 Bow?

I am caught in a dilemma and seeking advice here. I have 100 rapture crystals at the moment, with the intent of giving my Lunar Bow +10 a first nirvana cast -> Regenesis: Nirvana. However, I did not have enough chienkun stones last week to carry over the +10 refinement over to the nirvana bow if I made it so in the end I wanted to wait till this week for gold prices to go down before buying myself some.

To my (not very) surprise, they had released wraith officer's badges in the boutique which means that now if the gold prices fall to 500k each, ceteris paribus, I would be able to get rank 8 for much cheaper.

This presents to me 2 very tempting options. 1 is to give up on nirvana-ing my bow and sell the raptures + bow away, in order to get the money in order to obtain rank 8. Option 2 is to go ahead with nirvana-ing the bow for 1st cast, and farm abit more to get the 2nd.

Anyone has any suggestions?

    Depends what you want... I'd go for rank now probly. Along with a nice weap you also get the rank chest b:dirty (I went after ATK lvl bonus from nirv instead)

    Though my nirv bow looks better b:cute

    at +12 refines nirv will have about 100 more base attack then r8. And if reroll enough (or is just plain lucky) and get the +20 atk levels... then it'll just be that much better. Although r8 gives you -.2 int that nirv doesn't have. So the choices is do you want to hit harder or hit faster.

    3. If you are hiding behind an alt, don't expect me to acknowledge your existence.

    why not go for rank 9?
    still has the -int
    plus the set bonuses

    You can always do r8 for the chest now and nirv bow for later. I don't much like the r8 bow because it can't purge but it does decent damage.

    Rank8 is way better than first cast Nirvana. You also get the best top in the game with - 0.01 int and the 4% crit badge. Regenesis Nirvana actually doesn't hit very hard, in reality its only a Heaven Shatter with a fancier look and a little bit higher base dmg. Just the purge that makes it good, but Soul Shatter never freaking procs when u want it to anyway.

    Second cast Nirvana can be better than the Rank8 bow tho if you're lucky with stats and have high refines. If you get adv purge, interval and attack for example it beats rank8 bow by far.
    A Nirvana bow can also be switched between chars if you might wanna play assassin later or already have a sin alt. Would be cool putting it on a fist bm to b:dirty Even if its bound you can still put in in account stash for alts to play with.

    Kinda hard to say, gamble with raptures over second cast Nirvana bow can be really depressing and costly. Only getting first cast is kinda meh since you're still stuck at grade 13. At least with Rank8 you know what you will get. If gold ever drops again or if you cash shop it would be pretty cheap getting it right now. You can get nirvana bow later on anyway and people actually pay for rank8 just to get the top these days lol.

    G15 Nirvana is more expensive than Rank 8 now. For the price of G15 you can get Rank 8 bow, top and ring and have a 100-200m left, depending on gold prices.

    You do have to decide if you want the debuff bow though. That's pretty amazing in itself. i personally hate it.

    Rank8 is definitely getting a lot more for your money though.

    A thread in which I actually can input some useful knowledge.

    Recently I did the calculations as I was bored one day and deduced that over a larger amount of time the R8 bow begins to out damage both the first and second cast for Nirvana. This is probably simple logic and everyone has prolly figured it out, but w/e.

    Even with a second casted Nirvana'ed bow with -0.10 int the R8 still outdmgs JED as the crit bonus gives the R8 the advantage.
    Yet this occurs after a large amount of time, in PVP settings, as, almost exponentially, the DPS begins to surpass that of the DPH of Nirv2.
    This would be beneficial in a PVE setting but as you are probably looking to PVP at such a level and with such gear the dmg output of the Nirvana cast 2 might be better for the short time it will take to kill most peeps, but you would still not have the help of +crit rate.

    The advanced debuff is a major component in PVP and this, IMO, raises the Nirvana bow above the R8. Once you debuff a barb, there goes LARGE amounts of HP + resists, making them much easier to kill, as you have undoubtedly experienced.

    Depends how you play and how much you're willing to sacrifice for your bow.

    Lastly, Imma aesthetic w **** so... b:surrender ch'yeah... Nirvana all the way. ijs

    summer badges for r9 ring/bow = 624 gold

    why the **** would you bother with r8 or nirv bow.

    do the cool thing mav and keep the HS for TW, then get rank bow with money u get from sellin the raps, just because you can. Thats what i did anyway xD
