Unable to select which character receives the mount

Why hello there Perfect World Entertainment, I have something to say.
Why is there no option to select the character that receives this mount?
1.First of all, let's get this straight. This is a gift for people who made their Account before a certain date. It did not say character, it said account.
2.Could it really be that hard to let people select? I have played MANY different games, all of which have had things that let a character select something. There has never been a problem with something like this, why should it not be available here?
3.Is this a non-technical issue? Do you wish to pass off this event fast, not caring about it? Had I known about this I would have deleted my higher leveled character to get it on my Wizard.
4.Is this just another way to make money? This seems the most logical option, considering the way most free game companies have been acting lately. Truth be told, I'm not spending 15 dollars on a free item. Before people say "Oh, it's free, don't complain." It's not. If I don't play the character it was put on, I got nothing for free. I was gypped.
5.I have not played this game in months. My brother has been playing this game and yesterday he told me about this event. I knew I would get it, I played this game a long time ago, and I decided since this solved my biggest peeve with this game, walking everywhere is so damn slow, I decided I would play again. Now, after this happened, I'm reconsidering that.
This isn't the best game out there. I could find so many games that are better. I wanted to play this because my brother plays, and because of the mount. My brother has spent a good amount of money on this game and In time I might have also. This might not actually be a valid point, because you've probably already gotten a lot of people to buy account stash stones, overriding any amount of money I might have spent on this game.
6.Good game Perfect World, you've won in the end. That sleeper Armageddon hit hard, and I've been K.O.'d early in the match. I wish you all a good day, week, month, year and lifetime, but I must be off. The sun rises, and a new day has dawned upon the world. My journey will lead me forever east, until the end of time swallows up my thought and reason into the void of whatever lies ahead.
Why is there no option to select the character that receives this mount?

The only reason they transferred last year was because there was no Account Stash to let players do it themselves. GMs doing it manually for 100K + people is too time consuming. So your brother has spent a good deal of money here, but you haven't, but you would spend a lot if you got the mount on the right character, and it would make you play this game even though there are other games out there even though you haven't played in months?
So if your brother has spent a lot here, he should have an extra mount or two, or could easily get one for cheap and give to you, then you'd have a mount on at least two different characters, so you could play twice as often as you had not played in months for.I post in forums. They could easily have copied the jones interface but changed the item you receive. They obviously the the capability stop you from doing it more than once so there wouldn't be any issues there.
They could choose to keep or remove the facebook bit - it would not be difficult.
There is absolutely NO excuse for this, its just about money, and I think allot of people are disappointed with the company and the way they are being treated.0 -
They shouldnt have given any mounts at all this year...I was early taught to work as well as play,

I see no contradictions, she hasnt played in months because it was tedious running around so slowly. However she would like to start playing again because her brother plays & she'd like to have something in common with him - even though she feels that there are better games available.
The solution to the tediousness of the game without a mount was the anniversary gift - but now that may not be a viable solution for her.
And if she'd played the game a bit and gotten into it she might have spent some money on it.
You cant just assume her brother has a spare mount, nor that he would give her one for cheap - she might not want to take his things I know I wouldn't like to do that.0 -

You missed my point; it still requires a GM to check your registration date for the mount and fashion. It's already a bonus that the GMs decided to give the +15 / +15 Atk / Def blessing to ALL your characters. If she doesn't really play, why does it even matter which character the mount is on... she can't enjoy that character?

I'm sorry that's just silly - for one thing she should be able to choose her favourite class. Or maybe her & her brother were going to make new characters so they could quest together. Or maybe her brother is a barbarian and she wanted to be a cleric so they could run instances together... there are loads of possibilities.

You think that when you go on pwi.perfectworld.com/2010_anniversary a GM see's the request and checks a log book and says "yup they need a mount"? Of course not, its automated.
The jones' interface would not require a GM to check registration date at all =P dont be silly, if they can automate the allocation of gifts, and they can allow you to select a character to send a jones to, then they can easily put the two together.0 -
