Are lunar gears all farmable in solo mode?

Are all the mats (to make lunar plate + leggings) obtainable in solo mode? Squad mode is kind of a hassle since not many people run them and you need the fee.

Nope, you need Essences for the green lunar plate / leggings, which only come from Squad Mode.

Solo mode is pretty much only for getting transparent/ fragment crystals.

Chromatic/Ancient/Unknown tinder are the gold mats if you're making the gold version of the gear, which also only come from Squad Mode.

There are 3 bosses in Squad mode, each drop essences, but only last boss drops Gold Mats.

Well you'll need fragment crystals and transparent crystals for the green gear, so you might as well learn the ropes from single mode first. Get used to the instance in solo mode, and you'll be much better off in squad mode.

Squad mode will cost you 3M to open, but if you can get a squad that's willing to help you farm, and you pay their share in turn for you keeping drops, it's not too hard to get your gear farmed. It shouldn't take more than 1-2 runs to get what you need.

I'd recommend only doing this on 2x drop rate, if you're gonna be risking 3M per attempt. I've done many lunar runs, and you will normally get 1 gold mat each last boss, sometimes up to 3. But it's rare not to get a gold mat from 2x.

There's 3 different modes in Squad Mode, left path is Unknown Tinder, Right path is Chromatic Tinder, Both path = Ancient Tinder. Chromatic Tinder is shortest path, Unknown Tinder is longest path, Ancient Tinder is just as long as Unknown.

So what may I ask are you making? Maybe I can go into more detail here.

You'll be needing 2 Unknown / 1 Chromatic Tinder per piece, and a **** load of Earth Essences. I'd start out getting the Fragment / Transparent crystals taken care of first from solo mode, then the Earth Essences/Chromatic Tinder from Squad mode (other essences can be bought for under 300k on my server). By this point, you should have made the green gear. Always make the green gear first.

Since the Chromatic Tinder is the easiest to farm, but also the most expensive mat, you'll be able to farm Essences in a shorter amount of time, if not the gold mat itself. Unknowns are hard to farm, but easy to chip, so don't worry if you aren't able to farm the Unknowns too much. Save Unknown tinders for last, because not only are they harder to farm, they are only 3M to chip compared to 10M per Chromatic Tinder, and you'll want the most out of your 3M fee.

If you really have difficulty finding squads, at least get the Chromatic Tinder / Essences farmed. That's top priority as it's the most expensive materials to chip, but easy to farm. Unknowns are up to you to decide if you want to farm/chip.

Solomode is a total waste of time and you get nothing from it.

Squad mode is really easy tho and you dont need a 6 man pro party. A well-geared Bm + Cleric can solo Lunar in squad mode under 2 hours actually <.<

Or you can go with tank + DD + cleric.

Only problem is the 3 mil fee, if you dont get any Earth essence or Gold mats you loose a lot of money. Unknown Thinder + Chromatic Thinder (that you need for gear) does not drop on every run. A bad run you wont get gold at all, a hole stack of useless Chaos Essences and a few mirages.

So do it during double drop, make sure to also pop Card Bosses while in there so you cover some of the fee.

I don't recommend 2-manning unless that BM is a 5.0 fist BM, cause when I did this as an axe/spear BM, the bosses were a *****. The 2nd boss for the Chromatic Tinder path has a timer on it. If it isn't killed within 5 minutes it's gonna frenzy AoE sleep, purge, interval decrease, channel decrease, etc.

If you can find a good 3 man squad with an Archer , BM, Cleric, you'll finish in about 45 minutes.

But yes, solo mode is nothing special, as everything inside solo mode can also be farmed in squad mode as well, though in lesser quantity.

I don't have much experience myself during single drop rate (but I'm assuming gold mats are around 50% drop rate on single?), as all my runs have been on 2x, but get the Chromatic Tinder/Earth Essences done first since it's the hardest to chip/buy is all you really need to farm in squad mode imo, other mats are easily chippable/buyable from shops.
