If I understood the patch notes right, you will still merry the usual way at elder matchmaker in west archo, to get the title and MQ; but this time, from the packs you will get that "banquet reservation" IIRC the name right, which basically schedules you an event in the new instance. The couples, who are married, can still do the event, by buying the "reservation" from the boutique for 5g. So, the only condition to start the new "event" (calling it purposely that way; see the patch notes), is to be a married couple and have the reservation item...
Hope it helps, good luck...0 -
You get married using the normal packs as per the old way in west arch.
The church is for people who ARE ALREADY MARRIED.
To get in the church you have to buy 2 extra packs (1 each bride & groom) as stated above for 5G each.
You then go into the church lobby (via the wedding guy) and book the church on a calendar style system.
You then send wedding invites out to your guests which cost 100K EACH guest.
The guest gets a mail in game with the wedding invite inside.
At the alotted time everyone gathers in the lobby and enters with the invite in their inventory.0 -

I believe the first 5 invites are free. After the first 5 you do have to pay for them, though.0 -
It looks amazing after seeing the entire thing on the CN forums. There is a lot going on with it too..digging chests for rings, etc...[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

This is NOT fair. My real life wife and I invested $60 (30 each) to get married in game. And now we're expected to pay $10 (5 each) for this banquet thing ??? Meanwhile people right now can get married WITH this banquet for only $40 (20 each) !!!
I think this should be made free to people already married! If not (@ any GM) how about you just slip my wife and I a 'surprise' in our in game mailbox, b:beg I promise I wont say anything
ps.) I REALLY hope this covers more than 5 invites! That would be just pathetic! (I had like 50 people attend my wedding)0 -
Where is the church?0

I got married on an alt today and we went to set the time and date for the chapel wedding. We "sent" invitations but the groom ended up with 15 invitations in his inventory with persons name on them, that can't be traded and no-one on the guest list received mail.. Is this a gliche or is there something we are missing.0
-
so the banquet reservations are only for those already married correct? after marrying now are you REQUIRED to do the banquet and reservations thing? =/0
-
Doesn't the same thing have to be done irl? No one is forcing you to have the chapel ceremony to keep your marriage titles, those stay the same. This is a marriage add-on, and frankly, I'm shelling out to money to get my wife and I in there.Demon_Troll: "takes on the appearance of an innocent archer but turns into a mindless idiot once you hear him speak"

no same thing isnt required in rl, its expected of a couple to do so and have a ceremony and such..but i wanted to make sure we have the choice. tyvm for answering my question0
-
Something is missing in the wedding instructions.. 1st wth is the wedding planner? 2nd... we are at the point to making invitations and after placing wedding card in box and inputting guest name.. we are not getting the confirm button.
I do have a wedding approval card that came in wedding gift box... it says take to wedding planner to get 5 banquet invitations... I just now got this by curiously clicking the gift box several times. So.. you suppose to open gift box before wedding? are you suppose to take wedding approval card to planner before you can send invites? and WHERE THE HECK is the planner??? and where are the instructions that tell u all these things??? arggggg b:cry
PS!! Why oh WHY is it that every time I leave the Wedding Usher I can not see my husband's character on the outside? and I cant see numerous other characters either. This happens every time I leave the usher. Usually I log out and come back but this time.. I have tried several different things and i STILL can not see my husband????0 -
sometimes when u teleport into or log into a largely populater area (aka:west city) the people in your surroundings dont show up. dont know why, but easy way to fix it is just run out of distance from that area and come back, then they will appear.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

yeah i tried this some people showed up but not all. Finally went to Orchid... did force log out then relog and came back to Arch and there he is b:surrender
While I was away he tried purchasing invite.. and now it will allow him to confirm invitation ... not fair tho. I dont want to have to purchase invite for every single person we want to come to event.
He opened wedding gift box and he didnt get a wedding approval card... I think if I can find wedding planner this may be the answer to my problems0 -
im as confused by this as all of u are. x.x
got this wedding invite from my friend thats getting married monday. now it says that all guest needs to get a corsage to wear before entering? and that u can get this free from the wedding planner.. but where the HECK is he! and after that it says that u also need the inv to enter <.< sure hope if i find the wedding planner that i get my invite back. xP0 -
hmmm your friend had to go to wedding planner already... ask her cords plz? unless she just decided to pay for all invites...0
-
i think you need to teleport to the chapel, using the eldest matchmaker , go to quests and option is there for chapel foyer , wedding usher is there in the waiting room .0
-
yes but wedding usher is not wedding planner... arggg0
-
I got married about 5 minutes ago, and me and my husband were like, 'Where is the wedding planner?!' We have no idea where he is, but I THINK he might be in the actual chapel? Just a guess? I don't know. We're so confused! b:cry0

Posting this to help others...
the wedding approval card with the free invites... take to Usher... click on send invites (I know you havent made any yet... totally doesnt make sense) u will automatically get your 5 free invites and then can proceed from there.
btw... costs 3mil to cancel your wedding reservations0 -
After u make your invitations at the ahemmmm "wedding planner/Usher" you have to take them to the mailbox and mail each on individually. I suggest letting your guests know that the usher is the wedding planner and how to find him. they will need to take the invite to him.0

I just got done with my wedding ceremony in the chapel; & it isn't worth it. If you are already married and want to go to the chapel, don't waste your five dollars. For one thing any decoration or whatever costs around $18 million, yes million coins to get. Your guests have to pay to $5888000 coins to participate in the quest and gain contribution points. You have to mine your rings, just like mats. Well they didn't spawn in the amount of time they were supposed to & the whole marriage quest failed. Then the jealous "ex" spawned in with all his friends anyhow, and proceeded to start beating us up. The ex himself has like 3 million HP which regenerates somehow. By that time we were just fed up and wanted out, well my husband, IRL fiance who plays a Barb, got stuck and couldn't teleport out of the instance and ended up wasting almost half of his charm, before we actually had to shut down the game and get him out. In general, it really sucks, and I'd be SCREAMING for my money back if that was the main reason we bought the packs to get married, on sale or not, but we want the XP & spirit from our regular quests, so we'll get that & be happy. But I saw people saying they want to spend the five bucks to go to the chapel, and I wanted to warn them - Don't waste your money. And FYI, you get a really pretty wedding dress, which costs $20,000 coins, and only lasts for THREE days!!! (not like the red one you get for the Arch wedding. ) The fashion should atleast be permenant, after all that BS you go through in the chapel, not to mention the coin's spent on it.) So yeah, in general, PW makes this sound and look so attractive and like you get all this just by buying the marriage packs, but in realitity, that is not the case. So FAIL on this update, too!!!![SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

glad u posted this, it sounds pretty awful...thx very much for the heads up.0

what a waste ... if you have a spare 100 to 200 mil to spare and can invite enough people it might work but the whole system is a joke cost me most of my HP Charm and about 500k to boot the guest have to shell out coins the bride and groom have to shell out coins and at the end you get nothing for your troubles. There is no warning of what is going to happen and no direction on what to do. one of my guests had to spend 100k to repair weapons and armour at the end. The "monsters" you have to fight are unreasonable with less than 20 or 30 guests of high lvl so if a couple of lower lvls went to do this with just the 5 guest it would be a blood bath. The whole experience has left me thinking why bother with the game at all. EPIC FAIL PWI0

Any other feedback on this from those who've done it in-game? I'm curious to see the new Chapel with some friends, but if it's going to be charm-**** that you have to pay for... well maybe not.0

the wedding planner is in the chapel. mobs do spawn. Invite at least one good squad of guests[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it.0 -
Remind me again. Is this a wedding chapel or a dungeon?[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

The wedding npc you get the corsage from is in the actual chapel. And to get to him you have to click your invite when the time is right for the ceremony. To advise people I would say yes, you definitely should invite some 70+ people : \ The jealous ex that spawns is a sh*t to kill. But as far as I know of guests don't need to fork out money. I did, because I wanted to. It did add to the overall contribution points, so to me it was worth it ^^; I paid 60k for some petals to sprinkle on the couple and that was me contributing lol We were lucky enough to actually win the bride a permanent wedding set too. That was awesome : ) So tbh I wouldn't say it is a failed add-on. Though I am yet to try this banquet out as the bride. I can add more to this when I do.~Characters~
