Duo w/ Cleric, Demon or sage?

I'm a barb, my brothers a cleric, we're in it for end game, not worried about squads for other stuff, just wanna max out and have fun, demon or sage? I would appreciate a like, debate or such, point of views from both sides, Ty. <3 b:cool

    IMO both of you should go sage...cleric barb sage duo working together nicely is always a beautiful thing.

    Duo stuff like a cleric and a barb and no one else? Well first of all if you're pure vit then anything you do will take you all day and the repair/MP cost will make it not worthwhile.


    So if you really want to duo anything with a cleric then the only realistic way to do so is to put enough dex to use claws and stack -interval gears, in which case demon will be the better path.


    But if you want to stay pure vit then you wont realistically be able to due with a cleric at all.

    another sage / demon thread.... Look at the PWI books instead of asking other players to tell you what path you should choose?

    It's just him and I, and i wasn't asking you to tell me what to choose, I wanted an opinion, on Demon/sage, or if i should use a different toon.

    Have been talking with my brother, have come to conclusion that i'll drop my fangs for a while, and pick up the wings, (changing from barb to cleric), he's gonna axe BM, see how it goes, what do you people out there think?

    Going both Sage would be an incredible support duo if you are going to do TT/difficult bosses but you'll most likely want to go with a squad to make things faster/easier.

    In the case you want it just the two of you, one of you should go Demon.
    Demon barbs have better attack (their attack doesn't decrease upon transforming) and would come in handy to kill the boss/mobs faster to save repairs & mp cost for Cleric.
    Or Demon cleric as they seem to be more suitable for attacking/debuffing than Sage, again to make things go faster.

    Well that's my opinion ^^

    Based on a purely PvE perspective, a Demon Barb - Sage cleric duo is exceptionally worthwhile. You can solo run lots of TTs, BHs and other instances, thereby having a good inflow of coin. When you get to a higher level and get a good amount of HP going, you can squad with another cleric and start soloing World Bosses as well. Barbs and clerics are the most advertised for squads, so having that combo will pay off really well.

    A cleric and a BM duo is better for the cleric during the early stages when the cleric isn't able to kill as effectively as the melee class. BMs imo are a perfect solo class, only second to the veno class, and they are effectively DD based throughout the early and mid game. Since they have no tanking skills until late game (when they go fist/axe and have a ton of HP) a BM with a cleric isn't so fruitful when compared to the barb and cleric combo.

    As far as PvP is concerned, alot depends on skills and equipment so impossible to conclude.

    Barb and cleric duo = poor till lvl 65+ (cost of mana and hp pots and what not) but stinking rich after 70 (rivaled by our friendly neighborhood foxes).

    But with Bm and cleric, i was looking to go for sage as a cleric, not sure what he wants, i think sage also, any reason why not? or why for

    tbh either sage or demon cleric works. Many clerics well tell you that they could keep barb healed fine before they went sage or demon, it only gets easier after you go one way. I have heard from higher lvl clerics, both demon and sage, that going sage is more cost effective for the cleric in terms of buying mp pots/charms.
    I'm not a barb, never played a barb, and hardly read anything about them, so I have no idea what to tell you to do lol

    EDIT: oh and don't worry bout this too much. 57 may be more than half way to 89 in terms of the Numer level, but in terms of exp your not even 1/20 there.
    you got plenty of time to think this out. and dont worry about rerolling just to play with your brother better.
    I myself have a brother that plays an archer. Clerics and archers arnt known for going exspecially well together, but whenever i need some DD i got him, and when he needs a rez/healer he's got me.
    No matter what, you'll be able to help eachother, no matter what class you role, or cultivation you choose (sage/demon)
