Oracle discussion

I have a discussion about oracles. Before the anniversary packs and tideborn classes being implemented ingame. Oracles was a nice thing, you get decent amount of money, along with nice spirit and exp. Everytime I get an oracle oracle book drop recently on my other characters, I am using them.
Ever since the tideborns and anniversary packs, oracles got corrupted as buying levels just like crazy stone. It became abusive thanks to the developers. Once BHs are done more often, people who use oracles are now bashed on ingame and the forums.
Now the third generation, only very few people usually do them now. And going to BH and people who use oracle, whenever they bought it from either tokens or people, or getting as a drop. They become flamed even more while oracles are not a blessing anymore ever since there was an inflation.
People who use oracles are considered a fluke in this game now. But I half agree with people who call people who calls people that use oracles obsolete and doesn't deserve to join in squads. If people abuse the system from the tokens that is. These people are losing money. But what is even worse? Bounty hunter, why? These people are either wining or whatever, you can do bounty hunter in squad, not oracles. Crazy stone is the worst implement ingame. Your paying coins for shards that could of been used for useful shards for your equipment instead. These people no better than the people that heavily relies on oracles.
Now people who finds oracles from drops, why bash on them? You don't know if they
-Clearly dislikes dailies
-Leveling up just like you are, but not paying coins just for it
-Extra money
-Extra spirit
-Wanting to try out the mobs
Why remove oracles completely? Why not remove oracles from tokens instead? Infact, whatever you buy from tokens is cheating no?

Not really, they used to be in item mall. There once a time when I cared about getting to the top quickly as possible to help others. Now, I take it slow, and don't worry about having nothing to do. There's always something to do in an MMORPG, especially if you are high level. PK'ing is for those who desire to inflate their egos. True friendship comes from helping one-another, rather than to start rivalries.
It takes 315300 Mysterious Chips to make one warsoul weapon, if you have a 100% success rate.0 -

...That's what people have been complaining about, the fact that you can buy them. -.-[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Yes, oracles are bad when abused. Yes, crazy stone is bad when abused. Yes, bounty hunter is bad when abused. However, they are all good in their own ways.
Oracles: Good for that little extra exp/sp you need and just don't want to have to grind it off. E.g. when you are at 90% to level, they are good to have so you can make that 10% quickly.
Crazy stone: Good for the days you can't play. If there is a day that I won't be able to do anything at all, I just use that and it gives me some advancement each day. It is only really bad when you use only crazy stone to level one of your alts with little to no effort. Slow, but you never learn important things about your class.
Bounty hunter: Very good in that it teaches you the purpose of your class early on. No one wines BH29, squads wining BH39 and BH51 have been few and far between for me. BH59 is occasional, but after that it pretty much is everyone wants to wine whenever possible. So, at least for levels 40-79, you can learn your class role and get fairly good at it. Seeing as the majority of end game content is meant for squad based play, it gets you into it very quickly.
When I first started playing back on PW-MY, I never knew my role in squads on my first character (Blademaster) in TT (HH as it is called there) and I suffered because of it, often being kicked because no one would teach me. If I had bounty hunter at the time, I probably would have been much better off.
Just as well, it is also a good source of spirit to farm. Dump the exp in a genie, keep the spirit and you get a good way to level skills before leveling yourself.
Now, the only bad things about bounty hunter is that it gives insane amounts of exp and takes far too long to complete in most dungeons. I like it because I prefer squad based play over solo grinding, but it is a bit ridiculous to give that much. If I had it my way, I would cut the exp in half making people take it a bit slower in those levels. Obviously the system is flawed, but it has its benefits. To fix the length problem, I'd say make either a vanilla dungeon and have it used for all of them, with the squad leader picking the one it is set for. I'd go into more detail, but I am still working on this idea and would rather only make it public when I believe it could take the critique without just a plain "fail" written on every reply.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Didn't get the rest of it, but apparently I am the "destroyer of sin haters" as well.0 -

*faints at the effort you put in to that*
But I agree with BH's helping you learn your class.
Although I think it should be limited to one per day (or possibly some weird exp cave 1/2 deal you're 'formulating' I'm curious o.o) the lessons learned from them are important. On my cleric it was helpful in figuring out how much my heals heal for and when to heal, when to purify etc. and now on my wiz it helped me leard aggro control.
When would you learn these otherwise? FB's are almost always done by higher lvls, you sit back and help DD, but you don't need to watch aggro, because there's not way a 3x or 4x anything will steall aggro from an 8x barb.

Oracles is still a slow and expensive way of lvling. Below is my opinion on fastest way to lvl for those that want to lvl fast. I'll use example of lvling from 1-60. You need 6,620,835 exp to go from 1-60. U need 1134 tokens of different lvls to go from 30-60. From 1-30 u can use fruits or hyper mobs. You need to go thru 312 oracles. If you buy tokens at 18k each then it will be 20,412,000 coins to get enough oracles to go from 30-60 plus the time to go thru all 312 oracles.
If you have the coins and time to oracle, this is the second best way of lvling. I ranked BH stacking 3rd as this is the best way to lvl for those that don't have much game time to do anything else. AOE grinding on regular mobs is 4th on my book since exp is not much and you go thru too much hyper. More time less exp. Regular grinding is the worse since you are only killing one mob at a time.
I ranked AOE grinding on PQ elite mobs number 1 since it will only take you 1 or 1.5 hyper stone x12 sessions and MP event pots (lvl 75). You will only go thru about 6M coins total to get your hypers, MP and repairs for 1-60. While some may think this is not worth it, the time it takes to do this can be in less than 5 hours even with the 10 sessions per day on hypers. Less coins, way less time = number one way to lvl at lower lvls up to lvl 80. After this FC is the way to go unless you are a psy class. Psy can continue to lvl on PQ elite mobs till lvl 90.
1. AOE grinding PQ elite mobs. (w/hyper x 12)
2. Oracle users. (No hypers)
3. BH stacking. (No hypers)
4. AOE grinding (zhening) on regular mobs or 10 lvls higher. (w/hyper x 12)
5. Regular grinding. (w/hyper x 12)!!!!MeXy FeVeR!!!!

actually oracles were around before packs, when the first jolly jones event came around. Its annoying watching these people buy their levels and not earn them like some of us did.
I didnt even have BH till high 8x, but whatever, Ive gotton over it, if people wanna spend $15k on a game that has soooo many bugs it ridiculous more power too them.
I mean most of the fun of the game is leveling, once you get to 100 all you really do is work on your gear, which gets REALLY boring, so why would you want to rush it and be bored? Just my opinion0
