Well, I'm starting the poll for this over and we've got some new options. Thanks to Bosk for some great ideas.

The issue: Celestial Seal and Life/Focus Powders overwrite each other and we have no control over it whatsoever.

So a thoughtful, generous cleric with good intentions comes along and fails to notice you already have an mp buff, uses their buff, and cancels your precious powders. You get angry, the cleric gets offended, and ouch, see how this issue affects the game?

So what should we do? *!*!*After reading the options, pick the option(s) that you would like to see implemented.*!*!*

Option 1
Nothing. People keep losing powders and getting pissed, clerics get offended and just stop buffing people freely.

Option 2
Just thought of this one (while I was typing option 1). Change the cleric buff.

Level 1, 2: +10 hp/mp per sec for 1 hour. (Target must be lvl 10 to work.)
Level 3, 4: +20 hp/mp per sec for 1 hour. (Target must be lvl 15 to work.)
Level 5, 6: +30 hp/mp per sec for 1 hour. (Target must be lvl 20 to work.)
Level 7, 8: +40 hp/mp per sec for 30 minutes. (Target must be lvl 25 to work.)
Level 9, 10: +50 hp/mp per second for 30 minutes. (Target must be lvl 30 to work.)

AND...make this skill LEVEL SELECTABLE. Hold down alt and drag the skill onto a hotkey then select the level you want. Yes, it makes powders less useful, but people will still use them because not everyone has a cleric available. Not to mention, no one should get mad at a cleric for canceling their powder if the buff does the same but gives them 20 minutes longer.

Option 3
Add more to the description when you hover your mouse over a hp/mp buff icon. This allows clerics to see if you're using powders. It still doesn't solve the issue that some clerics don't look at what buffs you have on, but don't be hating on them for that because the options to come can solve all of this.

Option 4
Split powders and buffs. This is probably my favorite option. Powders have their own icons, buffs keep the current icon. Two different effects that don't overwrite each other. Powders overwrite powders, buffs overwrite buffs. They're still a problem with buffs overwriting, but a cleric's buffs only cost mp, while powders cost herbs.

Option 5

You choose what buffs you want. My second favorite. If you think stacking buffs and powders causes imbalance (which it totally doesn't, it's only +10 >.>), then you choose what you want. A little box comes up each time and asks which buff you want. An alternative could be adding options to the protections window. You could choose whether you want the buff that gives you more hp/mp per second, or the buff that lasts longest.

Option 6

Separate powders, individual buffs, and squad buffs. Since I'm pretty sure I'm mess up on explaining it, I'll quote Bosk on this one:

Separate Powders and Squad Buffs and Individual Buffs. Okay, this might be a bit radical, but make the Squad Buff subject to the existence of the member who cast it. That is, if a Barb casts Beast King Inspiration on everyone in the party, then so long as that Barb is in the party, the bonus applies. In other words, the buff is on the caster, not the subject. If the Barb leaves the party, so does the buff. If more than one Buff of the same type exists in the party, everyone gets the better rate, however, the time of the buffs remains with the caster, so when one runs out, another might continue.

I'm still unsure as to whether I like this one or not. I mean, I like it, but will it be a little too much? At lvl 60, using +100 hp/mp per sec along with 2 lvl 10 cleric buffs would be giving you 120 a second, that may be a little too much, even for a lvl 60 with tons of hp/mp (depending on class).

This time around I'm also adding an "Other" option. If you don't like any of these options, then vote for that one and please explain in a post what you would like done.

Again, VOTE VOTE VOTE. If we want changes, we need support in numbers here!

I do not think going from +100 to +120 is that big of a jump, especially since that is about as good as it gets even for level 100+ players (unless there are some high level powders/buffs I am not aware of). So, I am still opting for #6.

That said, however, I am glad you made this a multi-vote poll, because I would support option #4 and even #3 if nothing else could be done. In fact, about the only thing I would be disappointed with is option #1, but voting for all 5 other options seems a bit redundant.

    b:thanks

Also, I think you have the order of 4 and 5 in the poll different from 4 and 5 in the text.

Thanks for redoing the poll. Hopefully this will get some attention and people can vote for those options they like.

    Good Luck!

Option 1: I have no problem with option one, its better it staying the way it is. Solution is not to use celestial guardian seal on the person who have that buff. Its not hard to see the icons there

Option 2: Celestial Seal is good enough as it is, that will make people demand even more buffs from clerics while powders become less valuable. I am against this suggestion by all standards. A lot of people that play clerics who experience the bossy ones are being bossed around enough as it is, don't make it worse.

Option 3: I am with this idea, to tell the difference is a nice idea after all.

Option 4: Choosing their own buffs is not a good idea either. I prefer Celestial seal will not overwrite powders but the regen powders overwrite celestial seal because of how much HP / MP gained

Option 5-6: stack-able of same type of buffs are a no-no. Squad buff + single target will be a bad idea.

First let me point out that your OP is numbered wrong compared to the poll. #4 is where #5 should be and vice versa.

That being said I chose two options - First #3 - icon change is a definite need here I think to help avoid confusion. In a real life perfect world people would check, but we all know that isn't always going to happen.

So I also chose option #4 in the list #5 in the poll. That they should be separate and stackable with each other not with the identical buff or powder making the amount increase or time increase. Which I think was misunderstood by you Yulk. The OP isn't saying stack them together to increase in this option, only that the buff and the powder won't cancel each other out.
