Hiya b:shy I just wanted to plan ahead and check I havent picked some totally fail weapon or anything lmao. Yes I'm on a PVP server, but I dont want to spend all my levels PVPing. Want to get to 80 at least first. So here goes..

Build
I went pure dex. 1 str, 4 dex per level. Currently level 53.

Weapons
I am using Sinister shooter until level 60.
60 - Swiftwind Crossbow
70 - Unicorn / Wind & Clouds slingshot.
80 - Soul Freeze / Chained Jail
90 - Blinding Radiance / Abomination

Armor.
Using quest rewards and 3 stars until I can get dark shinguards of hades and armor of greiving sorrow. Still planning this though.

Skills
Maxed Blazing arrow.
Levelling: Stunning arrow, deadly shot, sharptooth, wingspan, wings of protection, winged shell.
Rest are either not attainable till 59/79/100 or at level 1.
Oh and the passive skills are being levelled the second I can. Almost maxed the range one. :P

Final note:
- I absolutely love my archer 100% more than my veno. It's made the game feel more like a game again, rather than a chore. I want to be good at what I do.

Passives should be high on the priority list. Deadly shot isn't really needed, as take aim is better at higher levels, and you said you arn't pvping much till then. Also, I'm pretty sure since you're on a pvp server, metal attacks need some attention as well I think.

Back when I was going through the TT weapons almost 99% of the people went with 1 weapon path. This was mainly due to the fact that there were no TT mats being sold when only a handful of people could even open the respective TT let alone farm it. Another reason for sticking to one weapon path - and it can be applied today too - is that it's a lot cheaper. If you are trying to save up money to use most of it at 90 or 99 when your gear will unlikely become obsolete you wouldn't want to spend extra on a weapon that you won't use for more than a couple weeks.

Swiftwind crossbow is obviously the easiest choice at 60 as it opens possible future paths. At 70 the best grinding weapon for an archer is wind & clouds. Those two weapons are what you can expect to see on almost every archer in that level range. In the later levels the options become dependent on several variables such as money, what suits your playstyle and how fast you level. If you level moderately fast and are by no means rich it's always best to anticipate what the weapon you make now will decompose to. At 80-85 you can get several crossbows, the TT80 gold bow and either the Frostcovered bow or crossbow. At 90 you can get blinding radiance - there is really no other choice for a 90 weapon as everything pales in comparison to this weapon, or if you got a frostcovered weapon that will last till 95-99. Endgame becomes less ranged in terms of the weapons you see. Most archers have one of the following in terms of popularity, Heaven Shatterer, Constellation:Fall or if you are rich Bow of the Demonhunter.

As you can see there isn't really a set path to take when it comes to archer weapons. It's gonna take a bit of personal insight and proper analysis of your goals to decide.

My weapon path: Swiftwind crossbow -> Thundercrack for pvp, Wind & clouds for grinding -> Flash fire -> Blinding radiance -> Heaven Shatterer.

This path is probably synonymous for archers back when the server started. The TT crossbow path above is probably the cheapest and most efficient way of getting through the levels while still being competitive in pvp.

    Archer Pvp Skills
    Stunning Arrow (max)
    Winged Shell (max)
    Lightning Strike (max)
    Thunder Shock (max)
    Thunderous Blast (optional)(long cast)
    Sharpened Tooth Arrow (max)
Deadly shot (optional)(Good for surprise attacks on robe users)
    Blazing Arrow (max)
Frost Arrow (maybe)(barbarians and blademasters slowed are kinda nice)
    Wings of Grace
    Barrage of Arrows (optional)(Territory Wars)
    Winged Pledge (optional)
    Wingspan (optional)
    Aim Low (Level it Occasionally)
    Wings of Protection (max)

    Genie Skills
These skills depend on your genie
Second Wind or Tree of Protection
    Extreme Poison
BRAMBLE RAGE (need 40 vitality for level 1 QQ, energy is increased by 3 every level, rest go in dex)
Relentless Courage (need 40 vitality for max, rest go in strength)
    Holy Path
    *Maybe some immobility Skills*

    Weapon

    60 - 69
    Swiftwind X-bow/Solarslayer (both is good)
    69 - 80
Wind and the Clouds for grind (that dps is amazing)
    Thundercrack (awesome damage)
    80 - 90
The best Pvp bows are Crimson Horn:Soulsmasher (kinda shows in my sig) and the beautiful Broad Land. Only problem is that tt80 gold cost 7 - 10 mil and FCC gold is over 30 mil now.
If you could afford Soulsmasher it be great, if not, just go for chained jail.
    95!
There is like no good wep from 90 - 95, so yeah, Heaven Shatter it is... (HS is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy to expensive)

lastly, Wind and the Clouds +5 compared to Crimson Horn: Soulsmasher +5, the wind and the clouds have higher damage per second for grinding. ss bow is just for melee classes. Wind and the Clouds + Relentless courage is a bomb.
Please donate money into my mailbox :)

    I'm poor as heck.

This is incorrect. Crimson Horn: Soulsmasher has a higher DPS and DPH than Wind and the Clouds.

Good information. I'd advise the OP to absorb most of what is being said here.

Also I will summarise what is considered "good" in a more structured format weapon wise.

    60s:
Swiftwind (Can decompose to TT70) or
    Solarslayer (No future at 70s)

    69/70s:
Thundercrack (Follow up from Swiftwind, one of the better TT70 xbows)
Wind and the Clouds (Nothing matches this slingshot at it's level. Nothing.)

    80s:
Crimsonhorn: Soulsmasher (No future path, but decently refined at 5 or higher can easily take you to 95 or 99)
Flashfire / Chained Jail (Flash Fire is made from Thundercrack. CJ if you don't mind branching off the xbow weapon path)
Broadland (Only available at 85, expensive and could carry you until 99/100 if refined well. Powerful but watch out for the reduction in phys def.)

    90s:
Blinding Radiance (Best green 9x xbow hands down. Also made from Flash Fire)
Heaven Shatterer (Only available at 95, expensive and one of the top "EG" bows. This should be the goal of most Archers)
Crossbow of Unknown Origins (Rank 6, and expensive)

    99:
Constellation:Fall (A popular xbow for those who cannot afford Punishing Thunder at 100)
Dragonbow:Nameless (Restat the vit if hybrid and it can act as the superior TT99 bow. I think it's superior of the 2 bows altogether even as is. I'd need to look this up but feeling a bit lazy)

    100:
Punishing Thunder (Third most powerful bow* and only matched by a Heaven Shatterer at +10 or higher)
Bow of the Demonhunter (Rank 8, second best bow* only pummeled and stomped by warsoul)
Regenesis:Nirvana -> Jaden Emperor's Defiance (This will not happen any time soon unless Nirvana packs are made available. When that happens, this will most likely become the second best ranged weapon, nudging rank 8 down a notch)

    In terms of "best" weapons:

    Flowing Stardust
    Jaden Emperor's Defiance
    Bow of the Demonhunter
    Heaven Shatterer**
    Punishing Thunder**
    Crossbow of Unknown Origins

    *Pre Nirvana Update.
**I rate HS higher than PT but this is preference. Also dependant on the refine rate.

    edit: forgot rank 6.

    Weapons
I am using Sinister shooter until level 60.
    60 - Swiftwind Crossbow
70 - Unicorn / Wind & Clouds slingshot. <-winds n clouds should be gud enoug, make sure to have a xbow for 80s.. u can farm it slow.. i got mine till 78 i think.. just to descompose
80 - Soul Freeze / Chained Jail <-chained jail is superior
90 - Blinding Radiance / Abomination <- blinding radiance is way superior.. but ya should plan gettin a lunar bow/rank8/hh99 or 100 for end game

    Armor.
Using quest rewards and 3 stars until I can get dark shinguards of hades and armor of greiving sorrow. Still planning this though.

lving go so quick now a days with all this dailys n bh.. so 3 star best way to go for boots or wrist..

Dont lv Deadlyshot or wingspan at the moment, focus on sharptooth, winged shell n stuning arrow. Also you mite wanna lv frost arrow for grinding.

    Economic Path of Weapons
    Level 60-69
    Swiftwind Crossbow (no other alternatives)
    Level 69-80
Wind and Clouds (high DPS/excellent grind weapon/also very cheap)
    Level 80-90
    Chained Jail (stunning effect)
Flashfire (later for decomp for Blinding Radiance)
*At 88 you can opt for the Windcatcher (also very cheap mold)
    **Expensive option for CrimsonHorn:Soulsmasher
**More expensive option go for Broadland at 85
    Level 90-99
Dragonbow (relatively easy to make, considering it does not need any decomp)
Blinding Radiance (cheapest Pvp oriented crossbow)
Abomination (tank weapon, decent proc effect, also later decomp into TT99 HS crossbow)
Dragonbow: Nameless (good vit/hp bonus, economical to make, does not need decomp)
**More expensive at lv 95 for Heaven Shatter
***Constellation Flail also a viable option if you go the crossbow method (however need decomp)

    A few notes:
It's Constellation: Fall, not Constellation: Flail
    Heaven Shatterer, not Heaven Shatter
Wind and the Clouds is usable in the 80s. I'm currently using one myself, mine being +3 with 2 Flawlesses.

Personally, my plans for now are Windcatcher on 88, Blinding Radiance at 90.
If you disregard what I say because of who I am or because of the contents of what I said, you are a fool.

Ah thank you all for your incredibly useful advice. So it's really quite simple.

I will get wind & clouds at 69 as everybody believes it is superior. I used slingshots once the 20 stash bow started to suck, love them.

At 80 I will get flash fire, as it decomposes into souledge for Blinding Radiance.

    90 is obviously Blinding Radiance.

Endgame I aim for the Heaven Shatterer, once I got my gear and wep sorted, I will start hurling in the cash. No more fash now, t'is naughty.

One question though, if I hade the HH90 gold Striker:Glare sling. Would they laugh at me 'cause im on a PVP server? xD Is it really bad?
The slings are ugly sure, but I just adore the dps.

Have you watched Transcend pew pew everybody with her slingshot in Lost? :p. When the slingshot is in the hands of a skilled archer, it is one deadly weapon b:shocked

Oh thank god! xD I adore slingshots so much. I did watch a few Transcend TW videos and I noticed she switched between the sling and a crossbow. Maybe it's not a bad idea!

Thanks for pointing that out. :P
