am just strating on a veno as my alt...

would like to ask for suggestions about the pets. Without going to the high and mighty hercs and nixes, i'd like to know which is the best or most reliable pets for tanking on land, in water and in the air... can any experienced veno give me some enlightenment in my point? b:victory

has read from some sources, things like the glacial walker are good on land, any turtles are good water tanks, and flying insects are good flying tanks? just what i heard b:avoid

but hopes for comments and recommendations from our experienced venos b:thanks

That pretty much distills it down.

Water pets are disposable, air pets can be disposable - purely because you don't often have to be there. If you want to be, levellingup a turtle or sawfly works better than just picking up the next one.

Land pets - you may want to consider a cactopod or eldergolth for its ranged ability, but otherwise the new tideborn glacial walker pretty much outclasses everything as a main tank pet.

Scorpions or the new dark whatsits make better DD pets though.

Land Recommendations:

• Glacial Walker
• Eldergoth Marksman or Sharpshooter
• Dark Wanderer
• Ebony Hellduke or L2 Scorpion
• Celestial Sting or Ethereal Inamorato

Water

• Celestial Plumpfish

Air

• Petite Sawfly or Cloud Skatefish

*These are only recommended because of "Without going to the high and mighty hercs and nixes", while a disposable pet path is highly suggested over some of these. Wolves for instances often come with Howl and there are ~5 families of wolfkin so you're not always getting a higher level starter. A lunar lupin comes with Lv.5 Howl long before you could add it yourself. There isn't much fighting in the air, so a Goldwing Emperor and other bee type pets would save you time and coin in the long run over leveling a sawfly or skatefish.

Notes on other suggestions listed above:
The Crystalline Magmite is totally obsolete since the introduction of the Glacial Walker, and Dark Wanderer. "poor venos phoenix" is a misrepresentation since there are comparable alternate fly pets while a Phoenix totally blows away all fly pets. A turtle isn't worth your time / coin leveling and investing in unless you love water grinding and don't mind using a huge pet. I'd suggest saving up water quests ~5 levels before you get a Plumpfish. The lower level cactopods hold very little value compared to a Marksman or Sharpshooter. The higher level ones have greater range which makes them more useful in some situations.
