Wow! This contest had so many entries that our judges had a really hard time picking the winners.

With over 115 entries, the task of finding the best 5 out of all of them was not easy at all!

As always, we were overjoyed to see so much artistic talent from our community. We had some past winners submit stunning calendars, and some new folks who decided to bring their skills to the table, and it was a battle to the death!

Winners were chosen based on the contest rules, theme, and their overall concept. After narrowing the entries down to a more manageable amount, our volunteer judges from the Design, GM, and Marketing teams voted on their top picks.

The prize for this month was a Kirin of Fortune, which all 5 winners will receive.

    I honestly think those who take screenies and add a calendar and some words are given too much credit.

    I really appreciate those who take time to do real art. I don't think those people get enough credit. The second one and the last one are epic. They took a lot of time I'm sure. All of them are pretty though. Not discrediting that.

    Of the winners, the one 'screenie' with the polar bear in the water was my favorite of them all this time. There's obviously a ton more work going into that than just pasting a calender onto a screenie. Very nicely done, man.

    They were all really nice though.

    Seriously, that's like saying that photography isn't a true art form. It takes time to obtain the perfect picture, and it is really obvious which people put real effort into their screenshots. The calendar competition is as much about the concept, design and overall effect as anything else. Just because someone does not have great skill at drawing does not mean that they lack artistic talent. Personally, I enjoy the diversity that such competitions attract and believe that screenshot calendars have as much right as any hand drawn image, to be counted amongst the winners!
