Demon Stunning Blow

I've been learning random demon skills out of the set I got, partially due to boredom. However, the effect from Demon Stunning Blow is that it has a chance to stun the enemy for 3 seconds.

I often use Stunning Blow for it's freezing effect (on Melee enemies) which lasts 8 seconds. I think I know the answer, but would this stun replace the freeze effect?

    Fairly confident I've read before (in this forum) that the proc chance for the stun effect is independent.

    Your opponent may be only Frozen, or both Frozen and Stunned, for the first three seconds, depending on if Stun procs.
