I have updated every driver on my laptop, updatedmy firmware, run 2antivirus programs, use malware prtection and 2 spyware programs.I run CCleaner at every start up and then dfrag. Still pwi boots my router every 67 minutes. I have also downloaded the "Vista" version of pwi from http://pwi.perfectworld.com/download and no help.I havebeen playing since feb. and neverhadoneissuetillthe september. Somethingin the game changed and caused this. Normaly i wouldnt jusp to such a conclusion but as i can play DDO for 8 or 9 hours or stream a radio station without ONE problem but get booted and have to reboot my router if i touch pw then it makes it easy to tell where the problem is. I have even forwarded the port 29000 like i was told to in a ticket responce. If anyone else has an idea please share. i want to get my game back up so i can lvl so i can pk.

are you positive you are loosing internet connection all together, or only on PWI? can you connect to any websites when you get "booted"?
btw.. port 29000 is an outgoing port - not incoming, doesn't need to be forwarded.
regarding this:run 2antivirus programs, use malware prtection and 2 spyware programs
are these all running constantly? if so - its a major system hog! turn off all but one.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

This is happening to a lot of people. I believe it's only happening to certain types of modems/routers. Mine, as well as several faction members, are all being reset frequently as well. Something we never had a problem with previously. It could just be coincidence, but I doubt I'll ever find out for sure honestly.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Has never caused a problem untill the patch with the annevercery event. Since then i cant play for ****. Cant do bh59 cuz takes more than an hour to get a squad and run it. also i have 8 gigs of ram 2 av aint gonna take that much. My cpu usage stays aroung 30% when running both scans and the game. it must be a glitch on their end so ill test after every patch to see if they fix it and go back to djing online.0 -

ummmmmmm? If I unplug the router because the router is no longer connected to the internet intelligence says the whole network. It has only been doing this since first update in september so it is a problem in a patch. and since im not the only one pwi needs to step up. And saying i have virus isnt solving the problem.that was the tech support answer when they couldnt find a problem in my dxdiag but since i use all i listed above + a website and a friend that does pc repair for a living once a week to make sure it is clean as can be that was a stupid suggestion. well not stupid but not a wise choice. I mean saying oh you system is current and up to date but our game is perfect so it has to still be your fault is not how to inspire people to play more. Still wondering when a GM will reply to this.0 -
well, for one - a dxdiag report will not show anything to do with your network. for two, I asked if it was just you that lost internet connection (possibly dropped only your own connection to the router) or if it was everyone on the network. That was something you did not make positively clear in your posts.
now, i have heard on other forums that people loose internet connectivity when logging into certain games. I cant pinpoint exactly why it would do this, but I find it hard to believe that "the game" itself is causing it. I'm inclined to lean more towards a networking specific issue. The problem may be with the modem, router, or the ISP.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Check your router manufacturer's support website and see if they have updated firmware to download and install for your router.
If your router is older then 2-3 years, consider getting a newer one to get less headaches.
Keep in mind your ISP could also be throttling MMO traffic after a set amount of time. ISPs do this to restrict bandwidth for torrent and game traffic. Sometimes music and video as well.Do you need help learning about patching the game, installing it, changing antivirus/firewall settings, changing network settings, learn how to use a computer, keeping your PC maintained and more?
