Why cant my friend sell me gold?

My faction friend and i agreed out of the gold trading thing that he would sell me gold for 150k coins, and we both put the same bids in, me buying and him selling. I never got one gold, he said he got 310k coins for it, even though he put the price at 150k. Why did this happen? I mean, shouldn

    Someone else bought it before you.

    Best way to sell friends gold. Ask him to buy specific items from boutique, then repay him per gold.

    Ex. I want a gold charm. he buys gold charm for you. Then you pay him/her 600k.

    Then either someone else had put a 150k buy before you did
    Or, your friend sold it at another price, higher than 150k, hence he got 310k.

    when someone sells gold at a certain price, the buyer with the highest price (above the sell price) will always buy the gold. for example, someone set gold to 150k sell price, there is 2 buy prices 150k and 300k. the 300k will ALWAYS get filled before the 150k. and since your on ht, the gold price is around 300k. therefore, the 300k guy got the gold, while your 150k buy is so far down the list that it'll NEVER get filled.
