Just out of curiosity... since all of our attacks in caster form (besides Blazing Scarab's DoT) we use wood damage so why not socket wood gems? That would give more damage than strictly just +mag. Or do we need all of it for pet heal? Since that is the only reason that I can think of for not using +wood.

    Hover over your skills, plenty of them say "gives ###xWeapon dmg" magic shards increase weapon magic dmg.

    +Element damage only applies to melee swings, not casted spells.
