Questions on Builds/About Gamma

Hello, I'm an alt barb that was built primarily for running gamma, and maybe some bh69/low and mid TT. (not going to level past 85, at least for very very long time).

I already did a cursory search of barb forums and read Budika's gamma guide (ty esp for details on bosses). But I had some more question I couldn't find answers/analysis on.

1. TT70 Heraldry vs TT80 Giant Ape axes (skipping calams $$).
242str vs 212str reqs, and I only need 202 for 80 HA. I'm not planning on pk/killing things on my own that much, so the q is will I still be able to hold agro w/ lower dmg? (Roar/alpha not even dmg based so I would hope so).

2. Can you be in BB range while the Mobs (melee/ranged) are still out of db range?

ecata lists BB range as 15meters db range at 12 and the wiz is standing more then 3 meters in front of the cleric. so I guess thats no for melee mobs atleast? Is it a good idea to use invoke near (not at) the start then rely on the dmg reduc/healing of bb when back near your group, or would you die horribly w/ 50% reduc and not 90%?
(will prob just figure/find out myself, but doesnt hurt to ask/know ahead of time =P)

3. 1 misty enough? 0?
Have 39 dex, w/o ambers and Bloodbath I wouldn't hit anything. For tanking (no pk) would 1 misty + flaw/immac amber be enough? Think even less would work?

4. Gamma mobs run from you?
I've run gamma a lot on archer but I can't remember if the ranged mobs would run away as you approached (like normal) or if they just stood there. The beta ones run from you, and stage 1 wave 2 explode like fb 39 guys o.O
random note: alpha mobs stage 1 wave 3 immobilize you, use godwill powder.

I realize that plenty of barbs can/have easily completed gamma w/ only 9k/8k/7.5k or w/e amount of HP. but I'm trying to get as much HP as I can because A) prob will not be the most pro barb and extra padding would be nice B)would like to eventually go in there w/ suicide (learning) squads and complete or at least last long enough that it would be worth it.

    Honestly doesn't matter.

    Best practice is to stand in the eye with the wizard and let 80-100% of the wave mobs gather naturally. The timing here depends on the strength of your squad, begin using aggro skills earlier for weaker squads. After you've exhausted your primary aggro skills (Roar/Sunder) and you start to see aggro falling off you, you shouldn't have to worry about wandering outside of BB to pull or push any errant mobs into the AOE, as most of them should be dead by then.

    The only concession to this is double wave, where you will want to invoke before using your aggro skills. Other than that you shouldn't have to invoke under normal circumstances on any other wave. That being said, if you want to to save a charm tick or two, go ahead. You should have the chi to spare.

    3. 1 misty enough? 0?

    Zero. Accuracy is not a requirement for completing gamma.

    I don't recall any ranged mobs running away after aggro'ing something in gamma (unlike delta, sigh lol).
