Adding Flawless and Refining

I am soon to hit 60 and have my HH60 weapon already (Thanks to my leader for the nice gift). It has 2 sockets on it.

For the life of me I can't remember its name.

Anyways I was wondering if its worth putting 2 flawless Saphire stones in it and refining it at all.

I was thinking atleast one flawless saphire in it (and a beautiful one) and refine to +1 since its so cheap to do that.

    No. You'll be decomping for hh70 at some point, probably, because there's not exactly a huge market for hh60 sword.

    Maybe 2 average shards and refined to +2 if you want to resell.
    Bladestorm lets you spin around like a carnival ride and do damage. Not using it is almost like having a move called Confetti Rocket Power Leap and saving it for "emergencies"

    name is probably Ancient Arbor, and I wouldnt go any higher than 2 average sapphires and +1 to +3 refinement

    My rule was Beautiful at 80 and then 90 go nuts (I have Flawless and Immac.)

    60 and 70.....*shrugs*

    I personally would not waste the higher level shards.

    I put average in my HH60, I was going to put average in my HH70 but I got my HH70 during the Jolly Jones event so Beatiful garnets were so cheap I used those.

    i would put average and no refinement you will be switching weps fast enough.

    My rule of thumb is never socket a gem that's worth more than the item itself. That means no Flawless gems in your Ancient Arbor. 2x Average should be fine.

    +1 refine is enough, too. Any more than that and you'll be burning a lot of mirages/orbs.

    Without providing build, other stats, and play style, spending style, pvp vs pve, we can't really give you good informed advice. However as mentioned you wont be using the weapon for long. Not mentioned is that any improvements to it are rarely to ever going to save you hits per kill on grinding and wont make a significant difference in squad boss killing either. Most likely the outcome would be more aggro stealing. Imho there are better ways for you to improve your atk.

    Here some information that maybe you can get me more advice for.

    I am LA build. True and Blue Dex, Str Level +4, Vit -5, Magic is the rest.
    I use golem for grinding, and sawfly for air mobs and soon for PVP once I get it fully decked out.

    as said, its pointless refining a TT60 wep because you will move to the TT70 wep so fast, i waited untill i got my TT80 before refining to +3 and adding 2 flawless shards because the gap from 80-90 is long so it will give you the most useage

    I only put 1 average in my arbor, no refinement. I did fine till 70.

    I crafted my TT60 (ancient arbor) and refined it to +2 then added a beautiful sapphire. It was working fine until I saw the another one on the auction house that was +5 refinement and had 2 flawless added. I acted purely on impulse when I bought it for 1.7 mil, not realizing that the grind from 60-70 was going to go so quick. The next thing I knew, I was already preparing my Sakyamuni's Light from a mold I got on the auction house.

    So, no I personally do not recommend doing anything to your TT60 weapon other than very minor refinement/sharding. If you were a cleric or mage, it might be more worth it to give it a little more "umph," but since you're a fellow pet lover, don't waste coin on it. It would be better to upgrade your pet skills (get your golem or sawfly's bash up to lvl 4, unless you're planning on getting a herc).

    I apologize for the long post, hope you got a bit of useful info from it.

    Well I put two fawlesses in my tt60 wepon, but that's because I got them for only about 300k each thanks to Jolly Jones... Reselling it now is taking a while, but luckily I'm in no hurry because I have all the money I need at the moment... So basically only do it if you really do have money to spare and can do it cheap.

    And if you do put anything above average in it, you're going to want to resell and it and buy a clean one to decomp. I wouldn't decomp a 2 socket wepon anyways, much better to sell and get a cheaper one.
