Okay, so. Most everyone around knows about the notorious Etherblade Waterfall at this point. Some of you have probably been stuck before too, and had been left waiting for someone to either try getting you out, or for a GM to come save the day.

For a long time I seemed unable to get myself stuck in there. But today, it finally happened when I tried to show someone that I didn't get stuck. Go figure. XD So after much work and trying, I've figured out how to free yourself. THIS WILL ONLY WORK IF YOU CAN FLY. AS FAR AS I KNOW, LAND MOUNTS ARE OF NO AID.

When you're in the water, no matter where you try to move (usually), you'll just get sent right back to a certain point repeatedly. That goes for if you're swimming around in the water, or trying to get to the surface. So long as you have some sort of flying mount (the Humans' sword or Untamed manta, for example), you can get out with a little persistence. Note that sometimes it'll work quickly for you, and sometimes you'll have to continue trying for a long time before anything happens. But it does work. I got someone else out with this same trick.

Anyway- when in the water, try swimming directly upwards by holding down either your spacebar or the up arrow. While doing this, keep hitting your flying button. I don't mean casually clicking either. SPAM the button, click it as repeatedly as possible. If done correctly, this should let you stand on your mount. Keep in mind that you'll still appear to be in the water at this point; don't worry about that. All that matters is that you've gotten on your mount again, and that's your ticket outta there. Once on your mount, there are two ways to fly upwards (both have worked for me, so its really personal choice). One would be just holding down one of your buttons to fly upwards (again, spacebar or the up arrow) until you stop glitching and just continue to go up. The first few times you do this, it most likely WILL continue to send you back down. Once again, do not worry about this, just keep holding the button down and it will eventually let you get up into the air again. The second method is to just slowly inch your way up. Tap the spacebar/up arrow a few times to slowly gain altitude, and this will get you into the air as well.

Sadly, I've yet to figure out the method for leaving the waterfall WITHOUT a flying mount. I know there's a way because I've seen other people simply walk out themselves. I don't know how they do it, but they do. Hopefully if one of those people sees this thread, they'll be kind enough to offer some more insight? It'd be nice, since this doesn't seem to be getting fixed until at LEAST sometime next week.
