Wolf, Panda, Lion, Tiger > Tiger?

What's the deal with only being able to change into white tigers. I'm a wolf, and pround of it. Going from canine to feline b:irritated I dread reaching level 9. Why can't we transform depending on our Untamed type? Wolf to wolf, lion to lion, panda to panda. The way it is now is too embarassing for canines.


It can't be too difficult to implement. Lions can just be an altered copy of the white tiger, wolf could just be an altered copy of the veno fox. There's no reason that I can think of why this shouldn't be done.

    I agree, its really weird for a Panda like me to transform me into a Tiger

    On topic - it's been suggested every other day. It's probably never going to happen, and that doesn't bother me at all. There are more important improvements to the game that could be implemented . . .

    Well if it's been suggested every other day, why hasn't it been done yet? This is really stupid. I'm a dog, not a cat. All barbarians becoming tigers even if their normal form isn't a tiger, it's ridiculous, it mocks all dogsb:angry

    As with lots of things in this game, look into chinese mythology.....

    Mythology is okay until it gets insulting. How can I call my character a canine and still look at myself in the mirror everyday? T_T

    That is a very good point. I am not sure that when the devs tried to spice up the customizations of the untammed, they took into account the feelings of the non-feline characters they made possible to create. Even though the canine-feline issues have been around pretty much for ever, I am sure that the Ailuropoda melanoleuca (aka giant pandas) are also not to happy with having to transform into a feline.

    If they did this they would probably have to let venos change into their specified animal too, for example the rabbits, bats, cats, deer, and foxes. This would become just too complex. I think it's fine the way it is. Would be interesting if they did do this, though.

    These guys are professionals, I doubt that something as small as matching up the animal transformations would be too complex. If need be, they can copy and alter programs that already exist.

    Lion: Alter the green lion mount
    Wolf: Alter a wolf mob
    Cat: Alter a panther mount
    Deer: Alter an antelope mob

    I really have no clue on the bat, and the panda, maybe alter a polar bear mount? I don't know much about programming, but thinking logically this should cut back on a lot of work.

    Well, if they ever fix the major bugs that dwell in the game, then I'd like to see this happen as well. It's been bugging me since I started playing how something like a wolf turning into a tiger could happen. They just need to change the skill name to 'animal form', for both veno and barb, then simply make it so the character changes into the appropriate animal, using the creation screen to tell the game to give a char the correct form.

    Although, this might be tricky to do, and could potentially slow the game down a bit, as each barb and veno needs to change into a more tailored form. I guess having one form for each is mainly for simplicity, and to keep the game running smoothly.

    Well anyways something to point out. Everything changes into a white tiger. So the typical orange-ish colored tiger doesn't even fit it, so why should wolves, pandas, or lions get their own?

    Just keep it the same way, its a waste of time when the devs could be working on something worth while. It won't make PWI any money at all.

    If you want to be a wolf just stay in the human-like wolf form instead of white tiger form.

    Actually the white tiger is more of a spirit form, which explains the white fur. Should wolves and lions be added they'll have white fur as well. The panda already has white fur.

    Stay in humanoid form? O_____________________O You obviously know nothing about Barbarians. We're all tanks. Do you have any idea how hard tanking is in humanoid form?!

    Well, the name True Form is misleading to me anyways. I'm a panda barb. My true form is well.. It's a panda, not a tiger. Rename it Tiger Form and I think the controversy will end.. for a little bit. Or I'm wrong and there will be more QQ over the new name change.

    I really believe we should do a psychological analysis on the negative impact of having feline true form on the other animals. It seems to be a fairly traumatic experience that needs some funding to look into.

    I would sugest forming a TrueForm Foundation, to do further research into this subject.

    This topic is mentioned every other day and it's never going to happen. In tiger form you should be focused on tanking, not if you don't match your character. I find that a useless update. And I'm talking as a wolf barb, that doesn't care that I turn into a tiger. If you don't like turing into a tiger pick another class. And for the unrealistic change from canine to feline I have one thing to say it's a fantasy computer game, it doesn't have to be realistic. How many people do you see flying on swords in real life? This game is based on chinese mythology, they don't talk about albino wolves and lions in chinese mythology. So my closing statement: If want to stay related to your character join some other class, cause if you worry about your appearence, you not a barb! b:angry
