I'm thinking of getting a phoenix and already have a torgin. How do the two compare? Is phoenix better at defense and attack? (I am not interested in fighting against other players, just bosses)b:question

    I heard that it would cost around $200 to get one; is this true?

    Nix has better stats than an unbuffed herc actually. The stats are all perfect in that circle thing on that stat page.

    Does anyone have either a phoenix or a herc? If so did you buy them from other players? If so, how much? If you bought them in the boutique, did they cost around $200?
    Thanks, guys!

    got herc, yes, bought from multiple people, 16.5m total. The cost depends mostly on luck and patience.

    side note: torgirn does NOT even come close to the stats of the nix, you should see the growth chart for a damned nix.

    You can't use a phoenix in dungeons and instances....so if you don't plan to PK,

    Bosses/Farming = Herc
    XPing = Phoenix
    Torgin = worse then herc
    Sawfly = worse then phoenix

    Phoenix can't go into dungeons so keep torgin might actually be better for bosses and stuff, as they are generally in a dungeon.

    togrin is a land pet and nix is a flying one.

    flying pets are not as effective on land mobs, they get stuck on just about any bump in the ground and require a different play style to avoid this.

    Indeed, when I need to level my flying pets I have them attack from the air while healing them to keep aggro away from them. Mobs can't attack me while I'm in the air, so it works pretty well.

    ..... to keep aggro away from THEM as in the pet? thats called glitching. and it's "illegal". and with recent patches.. if the mob cannot attack SOMETHING, then its hp will regen and that yellow glow will show up around them -- which means you cant kill it even if you stand there for a week.

    I got both. Herc for around $180 then used it to farm a nix for 25-26m.

    I would say nix is better for everything pve wise...except tanking bosses and making money lol. The killspeed of a nix in pve is insane. I grind on lv 90 mobs w/ nix faster than lv 80 mobs w/ herc.

    Herc was approx 22m and Nix was probably near 20m. Nix was cheaper since I bought a ton of battle packs when they were on special and made tons of profits from it.
