Genie update?

One week later and its as if genies were nothing more than a roadbump on a smooth highway. After such heavy anticipation the impact has been almost minimal. Why? With the exception of about 5 well identified skills, the rest of the tree is almost irrelevant.
At any point is there a plan to update the genie skills to give those other skills greater usefulness? I know there is a plan to update the skill descriptions but some of these skills are plain weak! In most instances having tinkered with some myself e.g. physical damage skill and many of the fire skills, the damage output of the skills is too weak. Or am I missing something? Has anyone tried using any of the damage skills with a genie that has heavy str stat? Is the skill damage worth the cost?
Right now it seems almost everyone is using the same 5 skills which I doubt is what was intended! I for one would choose some of the other skills IF only they were more effective than what they currently are!

First, what are those 5 skill you are telling of? I've found more. Too bad i can afford only 4 so far qq--

i have 3 genies.
one makes me do more damage(dex genie, almost entirely pure dex).
one deals damage. i'm unsatisfied with this genie. it's pure str, level 60. does little to nothing even with the double, even triple damage perks.
and of course, i have one that has support skills. i feel like i'll drop a few skills from my dex genie and just add a few support skills onto it(ie: holy path), and just use thta one exclusively. the strength genie will be turned into an exp cube in a week.0 -

There you go! The second genie you identify is the one I mean. The damage skills are not very useful hence making alternate skill builds useless. The more useful skills are those that give status effects and of those only a hndful are being used in general.
Someone ask:
Tree of Protection
the amp skill, extreme poison I believe
The metal skill that gives improved damage reduction
The skill that increases atk spd, mov spd and reduced channeling time
Bleed removal/prevention skill
if you found more I'm sure they are all along the lines of the 5 I have mentioned already like increased immunity.
The skills I am focussed on are skills like celestial. As a wizard, I saw this as a way of being able to get some decent (as in not omg OHKO) physical damage wiithout having to wait until level 60+ and having obscene cast times to deal with. Instead the damage is absolutely paltry and hence a waste of affinity and spirit points!0
