iron chests

i have seen these chest multiple times on my flights and travels, but i have always wondered when i will get to open one, anyone have any idea on what they are for, they are normally guarded by 4+ creatures

    They are for specific quests.

    And can only be opened with those quests.

    I think these aren't implemented (yet).
    Thought you needed iron keys in other versions of this game.

    This is true for some.

    For others it is quest specific, but I cannot remember them off the top of my head.

    The chest Mosz is talking about is probably the celestial painting. :/

    But all the "iron chests" do need a iron key I think.

    they are quest specific as far as i know. If you have a quest which requires you to open one then the required chest will not be labelled as "iron chest" but labelled with a name according to the specifics. For example wheel of earth quest for me. The chest was labelled "wheel chest" during the quest. Everytime I see the same chest now it simply reads "iron chest". If you have a quest which requires you to open a chest and the chest you are seeing is labelled iron chest then i would say that more than likely you are looking at the wrong chest required for that quest. Someone correct me if im wrong plz.

    It was labeled as "Chest of Earth" and is still labeled as such.
    I've just checked this out.
