Although I wish to make it happen, what do the rest of PWI think? My proposal is for the charm tick percentage to lower (if at all possible). So it would be like this: you have 1000 hp and usually the charm would tick at 500 hp, but how about making it tick at 250 hp. That way it is easier for those trying to save their charms if they want. Same with mp charms, lower it to 50% or something.

Good idea but that would mean less people buying charms because it takes longer to consume; less people buying charms = less money PWI makes = never going to happen.

sometimes things can hit you for 1k+...you wait too low b4 it restores and you could well be dead the next hit. 1/2 is actually pretty reasonable as far as hp charms go. at the very least it's cheaper than restoring the equivalent with pots.

That was the flaw I was thinking about, but I couldn't remember it in my post lol. Anyway, could be just because my main char is a barb. Usually things either do little, or one hit kill me (blasted Sword Tamer).

25% has much less survivability. The tick "window" is smaller and so there is greater chance of jumping over the window and dying. A mob that hits 60% can kill you in 2 hits as opposed to 3. 75% ticks way too early and leaves you vulnerable during cooldown. 50% is the sweet spot.

Mana has much more aggressive refreshing and it seems impossible to accidentally run out of mana while charmed.

If only our Aura had a faster cooldown... it ticks my charm instantly. Draining 35% of my MP each time I use it. b:sad

I have seen this before and I used to think that this would be a nice thing...

However, it ticks when it does as compensation for the cool-down time.

And believe me, ticking at half-way will get you out of a lot of jams later on alive..b:victory...

Especially when you get one hit and your charm ticks. You may have just enough time to pop a pot before the cool-down ends and the charm ticks again.

    ** Totally agree with Asterelle**

That seems like a reversal of priorities. I want my HP charm to save me, not me saving my HP charm!b:laugh

So, no, switching the HP charms to 25% would be a very bad idea. But switching the Mana charms to 50% would be a good one.

You know I agree with you on that one....

Especially for us clerics....I am full arcane with over 6.5k mp....ticking at 75% is often a waste considering I have plenty to go around....even with BB up.
