Best water pet?

On my veno character im thinking of getting a water pet. What is the best tanking water pet(top 3)? What is the best DD water pet(top 3)? I hear turtles make a good pet and so do plumpfish but i dont know stats or whats better. Info would be helpful. Ty for taking time to read this post.

turtle MAY be better than plumpfish if its lvld, however, do NOT spend your time lvling it. Its not worth it.

A plumpfish is the best thing you can get for the later lvls. Everything before that, just find a water mob at your lvl and you should be fine.

well im wondering what is the best water pet statwise. Getting skills and coin is not a issue and time are not a issue for me. So no other experienced venos wanna tell me what water pet they like? prefer? know is better?

Just tame one as you lvl up.
there never enough water fights that make it worth the time to lvl a water pet up.
at low lvl turtle. 30's might want to use a udine supreme, 50's turtle again.
then til lvl 80 get a plumefish.
fighting water mobs give you the same exp as air mobs.
so might as well lvl up a sawfly and grind on air mobs.

I just thought its better to get lower lvl pets and train with them as they tend to have better stats. eh eitherway i got a turtle from etherblade lake lvl 5. O_O now i just gotta figure out what are good skills to teach it. -.- only comes with bash lvl 1.

a good turtle with bash does really well for me. i keep one in my bank, and take it out when quests require underwater hunting. if you hunt in foxform, its even more effective, i find. but once you hit 50, catch what you need as you need it, and feed it up with seseme oil to increase its effectivness.

I always wondered which was better, the level 5 turtle or the level 80 plumpfish, and while I am not high enough level I did some math to estimate the stats of each as they leveled up (I won't go into how I did it unless someone really wants to know). And near as I can tell at 90 the turtle will have slightly higher hp (about 20) about 1.5 to the plumpfish every level (so the plumpfish has more about level 105), has slightly more P. Def than the plumpfish but loses some to the plumpfish every level (evens about level 115, but less than 10 difference at 105), has about 200 more evasion and keeps it over the plumpfish, has about 600 more M. Def and keeps it over the plumpfish, has more accuracy than the plumpfish and keeps it, and has about 2/3rds the P. Atk of the plumpfish and it keeps going down.

So in short, More damage of the Plumpfish vs. More accuracy/evasion of the turtle. Unless you need a turtle to be a tank for you, it isn't worth leveling up.
