I was tired of mediation so decided too shop abit. Bought a Bronze charm, and grinded quest for like 8 hours or something, using pots once in a while and my bronze charm, after 8 hours and 3 lvl later i allready used 70% of my charm.. is it normal too use so much in that short of time?? or will it chance when u get in a higher level or with the Self heal spell u get at 29??

Thanks in advanted

Well whenever I have a charm [which is always lol...] i try my best to pay attention & use diamond sutra whenever i can. I still use some pots, just because charms can be quite costly, but I haven't had a problem dying even when I'm facing several mobs. If you are just relying on the charm, yes it does get wasted pretty quickly, especially a bronze one.

So my advice would be to use your charm as a backup & try to use sutra whenever you have your spark & need a heal.

You have to keep in mind that an MP charm ticks faster then an HP.

MP= when total MP falls to 75%
HP= when total falls to 50%

I can easily go through 2 MP charms before I am half way through an HP (although I am also a full-support cleric).

MP recovery will be slightly helped when you grow levels, but your sake and level. I would manufacture powders to increase MP recovery or use pots when your MP gets to 50%.

    Good Luck!!

well clerics have alot less hp so it drains alot slower.

Both barbs and Bms burn throught hp charm fast as hell due to more hp and having to take alot more hits. I've have my bronze mana charm far out last my gold hp charms :S

p.s as u get into lv50+ ull want gold hp charms because bronze ones will burn up in about an hour or less

When you get Diamond Sutra you will save a lot of charm during Pve. For your level is normal I guess.

No, it wouldn't. If you don't have much HP to begin with, and you get hit by a magic boss that does more than 30% of your HP, and you have a little over 30% left, then you're dead.

    It's good that it's 50%.

It would be ideal, though, if you could set (and re-set) the tick-point with a slider.

I would follow this advice. Since that's exactly what I do.

I use normal attacks to kill my mobs. This creates "chi", which as results creates "sparks" for your diamond sutra.

You might need to add MP pot every now and then but the system is good. I don't meditate at all anymore.

However, I think I pay more in repairs. I have not been able to compare total costs.

Edit: I forgot to mention I have my Aura of the Golden bell on at all times, marro magical or physican depending on the mob. If the mobs shifts from magical to physical, I use Aura only.

If I get double teamed I use Dreak Sweep.

I'm not using my other skills anymore. Waste of spirits and coins, LOL.

I don't know if that would be a good idea. I think that they are set the way they are bc of the 10sec cool down time. It is more of a safety and I think being able to change the set-point would only waste more then help.

I was thinking mostly of the fact that I don't need HP charm to tick when I'm grinding regular mobs, but want more safety against bosses or elites that can hit me harder. But, as I think about it, having the choice between a wider safety margin and a bigger total heal opens up some interesting possibilities for PvP (including TW) play since choosing to take a bit more risk would give me a longer expected life but more vulnerability to a spike of damage.

For me, as a barb not a BM. I dont like to use an HP charm when Im grinding, its too expensive, I just use sunder and adv. spark to heal. I dont think you killed that Hp charm that quickly.

Fastest time that I killed a Gold hp charm (heals 600,000) was 1 hour and 20 minutes. That was in a TW.
I was early taught to work as well as play,
    My life has been one long, happy holiday;
Full of work and full of play-
I dropped the worry on the way-
And God was good to me everyday.

For AoE grinding? Personally Spirit Charm > HP Charm.

900000 MP for the price of 600000 HP.

Mana pots are more expensive than HP pots too.
I post in forums. This one and others. That's why I post.

Are you kidding me? You need both to AoE grind solo 80+, there's no point in being able to use 02810281 AoE's, if you're dead since you couldn't heal. And no, HP POTs are more expensive then buying a Gold HP Charm. So one should stick with both Gold Charms, instead of wasting millions on POTs all the time.

Then again.. just my opinion. I've got no real experience with these things, as I'm still a low level, as opposed to you big strong guys! b:chuckle

Any high level BM that uses a charm well I don't know I known a BM since level 57 all she did was use normal attacks (something fancy now and then) and Diamond sutura, magic mobs physical mobs whatever you name it, Normal attacks, Diamond sutura not ever a HP charm.

I tend to use charms more in PvP than PvE simply because vs mobs sutra will keep up easily with the damage your taking, I have had a gold hp charm last about 3 days without ticking it once while leveling on mobs. MP charms are a must for saving on cost but sutra should be used to prevent the HP charm ticking too much in PvE as sutra is alot cheaper than ticking your charm, having a HP charm equipped is still handy incase someone attacks you (PvP server) or multiple magic mobs simultaneously attack you
