Losing Items

At what lvl do you start losing items out of your inventory. Like Weapons, Armor and such. Today is the first time I have lost anything and it was my Giant Crossbow. I am lvl53 and this is the first time I have ever lost anything. I actually had no idea you could lose anything in the game. I lost it right before I died, which I figured if your going to lose something wouldn't it be after your died? Is this what happens or is their something wrong?

    The chances to lose items while dieing are there always but only at like 1% Gwynn.

    It really depends on what you've been doing before you died. I know you're on a PvE server, but if you'd killed or attacked a player recently and your name was pink or red, the chance to drop something from your inventory would be much higher. However, if your crossbow was equipped and not in your inventory, you shouldn't be able to drop it unless you're red-named (have killed white-named players).

    No I wasnt in PK mode, then I would have understood why I lost it. I was questing. Killing normal things and out of PK mode. Yes it was in my inventory as I always carry a spare bow for when I run out of arrows.

    If it was in your inventory, that explains it. There really is a very small chance (~1%) that you may drop one item upon death no matter what killed you or what color name you had.
