Dexterity question from a newblet

I just started PW a few days ago,so please excuse the newbletyness. ^^*

I want to make a decent Cleric, so I have this huuuge question: Dexterity helps you make more critical hits, right? If a Cleric puts points into dexterity, will it raise the rate of critical HEALS? Or do critical heals even exist in PW?

Just curious. ^^*

Also, would there be any point (besides heavy armor) to put any points into strength as I level? Right now I'm considering 3 Int, 1 dex, 1 vit per level (or maybe 7 int, 1 str, 1 vit, 1 dex per 2 levels) , and I just want to make sure I don't screeewwww it up. ^^

Thanks for any answers~

dex affects crit, evasion and accuracy

heals are affected by your int and mana

i myself am a cleric and i use a unique build i created myself which impliments dex str and int for massive ownage.

str for a priest should only be as high as the weapon your using.

Hope this helped you, from you neighborhood Dragons member, check out our forum and have a nice day

You didnt answer the OP's question...

Yes, dex affects crit rate (both phy and mag).
But will heals crit? Isnt healing a special kind of magic?

    I'm not sure either.

Heals won't be affected critical rate. But if used with Spark Eruption, your healing skills will have more of an effect due to the raised magic attack.

Ok, so just to ask a little more, would there be too much point in a cleric adding much dexterity at all? Do healing spells miss occasionally? (I'm hoping to be mainly support, with some damage when I'm not buff/healing)

Thanks so much for the answers so far. ^^*

-edit- Ooh, ooh, new thought. You occasionally get interrupted mid cast by just (so far as I can tell, haven't looked into it too far) random attacks from monsters, yea? Would dexterity help THAT in anyway?

:Keeps thinking of new questions, will make a 15 page topic on dexterity >.> :

as a general rule both Dex and Str are of little value to a casting class except as needed to equip weapon/armor. Spells in this and many other similar MMO's do not miss, they might be successfully resisted, they might be interrupted, but they do not miss. A second related note heals and other active helpfull skills don't even have to worry about resistance
Perhaps the greatest secret to getting along with others lies in learning to respect their opinion(s) even while you disagree with them.

Alright awesome, so I won't have to worry about high magic resistance on my team. That's wonderful. ^^ AND good to know. Thanks so much, all of you!
