Would FlashGet be a problem?

I have FlashGet installed on my computer and I was wondering would it effect the direct download of Perfect World?

    It really depends. I have a download accelerator program called DAP ( Download Accelerator Plus ) and it was fine ( file wasn't corrupted or anything ). I do know, that sometimes, the files can be corrupted due to dl accelerators, but you'll never know unless you try.

    Well since the Direct Download was allowing me to do multiple session of it, I don't think FlashGet would have a problem. DL Accelerators can have issues if the site has restrictions on multiple sessions, usually bad programming in the DL Accelerator when it gets a started downloaded and then suddenly ends like it finished. In those occurences some DL Accelerators think they got the section without doing a proper CRC check to verify it did.

    I see...but FlashGet doesnt allow me to open 7 zip.

    Weird, 7zip and FlashGet work great for me... Try to uninstall both of them, then install again.

    Well i have downloaded the game again, i followed the installation guide this time and now im confused. I cant extract perfect world from 7 zip...everytime i try to extract it 7 zip says "can not open file."

    These files are-data packs,auto run,check.md,copy right and icon.

    Now im confused am i doing somthing wrong?

    Your download may have gotten corrupted again.

    You have to keep trying till it works right?

    Our servers are outputting the data correctly, it is just not getting to you correctly. Gotta love the internet...
    Do you need help learning about patching the game, installing it, changing antivirus/firewall settings, changing network settings, learn how to use a computer, keeping your PC maintained and more?

    Corrupt again!? Everytime i download it its always the same result can i download a file that isnt corrupt? Iv tried torrent,direct and the one where the client patchs are split...and i get the same result everytime.:mad:

    Well it looks like im never going to get to play this online game:( iv downloaded the game client about 9 or more times already....iv been at this for about four days straight now. When will it end :mad:

    The game files are not corrupt on our end.

    Your internet connection, and the internet in general might be the issue.

    Packets of data may go through hundreds or thousands of computers on the internet before they get to your computer. This system is by no means perfect.

    Try downloading from a another location on your end. Friend's house, library, school, anywhere that has a better (solid, stable) connection. Download it there, and burn it to disc.

    Your ISP, school, country may be throttling your bandwidth because the game is 2+ GB in size, which can result in lost packets/corrupted files.

    Bottom line, better internet connection is needed, or download it somewhere else if you can on your side.

    O.o OMG if thats the case then Road runner high speed internet sucks then.:mad:

    Im in U.S.A to be specific I live in Dallas Texas.:confused:

    Well im using Road runner high speed internet its never had problems before downloading online games though.

    Also i dont really have a direct ISP with the account/password thing that i saw when i tried to get one...I think im using local internet connection. Which seems to be pritty stable.

    Well then if thats the problem then its not my computer it doesnt have any problems downloading any of the things needed for this online game..so a new computer isnt in order.

    Yeah i want to play this online game pritty bad right now i just cant do it....this is going to be fustrating....wait im already fustrated:mad:

    Well i tried all four of those incremental downloads.

    Number 1 said i needed a disc to continue the download.:confused:

    Number 2 downloaded but when i extracted it one of the data packs in it is broken.

    Number 3 downloaded but when i extracted it data pack 2 is broken.

    Number 4 downloaded but when i extracted it data pack 3 is broken.

    Well at this point not much left to do at all **** well i dont think im going to get to play at all now.:mad:

    I feel your pain, I really do. I've been trying for seven days now. And I have a fast freaking connection. For some reason downloads of PWI have been running slower than normal for mex. Strange as other things I have DLed this week have been DLing much much faster, even larger stuff than 3 GB. So I am still of the opinion there is something not quite right. Try letting a friend DL it for you preferably some one from a different ISP with a faster connection. Also try running a speed test to find out exactly how fast your connection is. If nothing else you can eliminate the throttling down argument that has been talked about so much of late.
    So you've lost an arm hey, well here's a bandaid now back to the front with you.

    Stock Answers to unanswerable questions are great. Much easier than independent thought and a lot nicer than saying **** off, your bothering me.

    You do realize you need all four of the incremental files in order to unzip, right? You can't pick and chose. DL all four files to the same folder, preferably a new one and either right click on the exe or left click and choose 7-zip to unzip. Either way all four files will be unzipped together. Using this method I have gotten good data1.pck and data2.pck, (of course that was only using flashgot for firefox, normal downloading I have only recieved a good data1 file. Keep your chin up. Later tonight I will be uploading a valid 1 and 2 to filefront. It won't end your sorrows but it will reduce the files you need.

    Oh, i didnt download them all to the same folder i will try that. Would the data packs 3 and 4 work with the good incremental data packs 1 and 2? Just a thought.

    Thanks that would be a great help. Well at the moment i dont know anyone eles with a computer and internet connection....so i cant try downloading it to a different computer.

    are you guys even listening to darthpanda? he said its your connection so that means like he said use another connection download it there burn it then use the disc on your computer or you can order the disc that they have, if you have tryed alot of times then use the disc. ;)
