    Everyone, just look at the countdown on the home page of PW, it says how many hours left, then add it to whatever time it is in your city and voila! the opening hours of PW !!!

    im in eastern and it falls exactly on august 19th at 0:00AM guess i wont be sleepin tonight! haha

    I'm afraid that's incorrect. It falls on exactly August 19th at 0:00AM for absolutely everyone, as it computes the time from your system clock.

    It's merely counting down to the day of the beta, and not the exact hour of opening.

    but thats exactly what i said... the 19th at 0:00 ... whats the problem? even if i said it in a different way than you, we're still saying the same thing!

    and i highly doubt that the website countdown is locked onto your computer, cuz if it was there wouldnt be this confusion that everyone is having with their time zones

    This is what's causing the confusion. People's countdowns in other countries have already ended, and the countdowns are different on different time zones. Each and every countdown goes until 0:00 on August 19th, in every time zone. So it looks like someone in, say, Central time zone gets on an hour after someone in Eastern. But that's not actually the case. XD

    I'm in Central, and it also appears to fall on exactly 0:00AM for my timezone. It falls on 0:00AM for the people in Australia too. Because it DOES just take the time from your system clock. Go ahead and change your PC time and refresh the front page if you don't believe me. ^_^

    That's why it's confusing - they're not confused about their timezones. We just don't have a definitive start time for ANY timezone to calculate it from.

    Edit: I'm done explaining this... lol. This is like the 3rd time I've done it in this thread alone.

    I must say this was very entertaining to read the entire way threw. Can't wait to see xarfox's update to let us all know we can sleep tonight and it will be up sometime durring the day. I am guessing between 6:00AM and 9:00AM PST on monday (since that is normally when work starts).

    wow. if PWI just put a normal countdown thats faithful to the amount of hours left then there would be NO confusion what so ever. that was a very strange call on their part...

    wtv, i still aint sleepin 2nite. so since im eastern ... im gonna get it at like 3 or 4, somethin like that? pppffff maybe i will sleep a bit then lol

    OK, I'll end that one. The question asked was if characters would be deleted. There was never any mention of resetting to level 1. It was implied that all the characters would no longer exist.

    However, it was also said that this is what they were planning to do. Plans are sometimes subject to change...
