Expand signature size.

The signature size is, quite simply, too small. The average forum signature is about 160 pixils high, or possibly a bit less. So many people have worked hard on forum signatures and can't use them because the limits are so low it's silly.

You're running a forum for an online game. That means the vast, VAST majority of your users are on broadband, as most gamers are. Also, I would venture to say that 90% of the players on here are running in 1280x1024 and the remaining are in 1024x768. Having a signature size limit as small as it is is really quite silly, nobody benefits from it and it bothers players.

I've been using this signature for as long as I can remember. It's only 126x and I have NEVER gotten a complaint about it's size.

    250 height is reasonable, but I think we could get by with 200. 100 is pretty ridiculous... unless you have a 15" monitor

    I use a 19" monitor and even I have a lil trouble with the size of mine but in any case Ive had to work on smaller. I usually make sigs that are 600 by 100/200 pixels depending on what a person wants on their siggy

    i think 150 pixel are enough.. maybe 200, but not larger.
    many posts tend to be only about a line in size and "forum browsing" turns to "over-the-sig-skipping"
    PW has been endless frustration for me #2

    You probably would for it's weight. 1.2 mb for a sig? comon....

    Agreed about the size. I can go well with 100 pi heigh, but would not mind a bit bigger.

    For me a signature is something like you personnal card, it's not an art show.

    I agree there, sigs shouldn't exeed 300kb.

    the forum signatures cannot exceed 195.3 KB on this forum i think that's more than enough as far as weight.

    Mine's actually 102px high.... perhaps it goes by total area? Maybe I'll try reversing the dimensions quickly....

    Edit: nevermind, in playing around with it, I found my 102px now gets resized to 100px. ~shrug~

    I still think it's an adequate size.

    i would say 200 pixel height is the norm... sure some have 250 (or even higher) and some have 150 or whatever... but 100 pixel severly limits the type of image that can be used (without being so severely cropped / squashed to ruin the image), and makes more detailed siggies look cluttered / unreadable / or just plain ugly.

    increasing sig height to 200 pixel, would not create problems with huge swathes of screen being filled by sigs, and i would say a more pressing issue is with file size (which you already limit to 195.3 KB) for loading images.

    My preference would be to increase to 200 pixel height and keep the 195KB limit

    I totally agree, as 100px height is way to small to compensate for what the majority of the gamers use on forums. All my sigs are 125px in height and they can't be squashed to 100px.

    It won't fit in the kb requirement anyway, but there's no "naughty parts" showing and I've never had a complaint about my signature.
