Random Question here lol

Ok random question here and well seeing as Ive come across some um minor trouble over this in Oracle Server MY-EN and I dont want to offend anyone here..... Does anyone mind if I call them hun - hottie - sweety -babe etc? I naturally call everyone that without thinkin til the one day I was told not to call someone that apparently it was offensive somehow I dont know how an endearment of sorts is offensive but a couple of ppl did and without thinkin I started it here in forums so just wanted to kinda ask if it was ok and if not let me know ^.^ cheers

    Lol, if you're asking for my opinion, it's totally fine. A lot of my friends address me as babe / hun too.

    Well, some people take things more seriously than they should... Just gotta learn who they are, I guess! I, personally, don't mind... in fact, it's just silly taking anything like that seriously. I could understand that it might not be best for you to call a guy "sweetie" if their girlfriend is around, but otherwise I should think that it'd be fine. :)

    Well true that, lol. But it really depends on the person who called my bf ' hun ' or something.
    I normally don't get mad about it though, unless I know the girl is full-on flirting with my guy. Eck!

    Thanks suga...just dont want to foul before even getting in game :D Im naturally one to call everyone hun etc I guess its just in my nature but I do know the limits ;) hehehe

    If the girlfriend is one of the over jealous types I wouldnt call em hun even if it goes against my nature hehe but you are right though it is silly taking something like that seriously :rolleyes: Sure Im the flirty type of gal but I dont go way over board rofl ew no lol sheesh look at my pic that should explain why hehehe it would be like the hunch back of notredam flirty with say someone like Pamela Anderson ;) j/ks but still ya know what I mean I think lol

    I ran into the same problem a while back. I accidentally called a friend "dear" on party chat while in party with his PW girlfriend and needless to say she chased me from one corner of the map to the next trying to PK me for almost a week before giving up.

    Too me its an endearment to a friend or even someone you have just met and I cant understand whats so offensive about it considering if the shoe was on the other foot the girlfriend be loving it while the guy sits there and fumes Sorry to here that she chased you over the map though hun lol some ppl take things way to seriously...at least ppl know what to expect to hear from me rofl

    LOL, it's ok. He eventually felt she was too jealous and possessive so he dumped her.

    Good on him hehehe too jealous and possessive isnt the word especially if she was trying to pk you just for callin him dear :p lol thats the only thing Im worried bout the ingame gf/bf thing lol unless they are RL bf/gf I wonder if any of em realize that its just ingame :rolleyes:

    I just feel weird when someone calls me like that while i'm on one of my female chars (i play both genders)
    other than that... i don't have a problem with that :p

    Fine with me. I was called dear, sweetie, honey, hottie, sexy... And not only by good friends, for me it's natural between guys and girls in mmo's. "Hey dear!" is normal form of greeting, isn't it? And more than that, I find it really nice ^^

    Seriously tho, guy offended by girl who called him 'dear'? Eww...
