What is self invite and how do I use it?

if a squad is already formed you can invite squad and it will send a request for the leader to accept you to party

Yeah as mentioned above, you can request to join a squad if there is one already formed. You can just right-click on the name of the player in chat and select "Party Invite" like you normally would if you were inviting people to a squad. You'll see a message in your chat box saying that you've requested to join a squad instead of sending an invite to the player.

You can do this with anyone that is in the squad by the way. The request will always go to the squad's leader.
