SERIOUS forum performance issues

So, today Kitty's PC's fans went noisy and when Kitty checked for CPU-temps and usage, she noticed ~25-28% prolonged CPU usage increase with just one forum tab open, 30-35% with 2 tabs making her CPU heat up unusually much. And Kitty's PC's CPU has 8-core CPU clocked at 4,6GHz so do these forums have some glitched coding or something causing 25% load on all 8 cores? 'Cause that just doesn't sound normal at all.
Kitty's using Chrome with Tampermonkey running Asterelle's forum extension but the problem persists even after disabling plugins. Not other sites have such issues. Even plain threads without videos or images cause the heavy load on CPU when the forum tab is active.

Sorry about using General discussion, but if this kind of problem isn't just Kitty's PC doing something weird, the problem might fry some weaker CPUs, especially on peoples' laptops if ignored.​​

Are you sure it's from the forum and not just chrome doing stuff in the background?
It's very unlikely that a forum will do anything at all to your CPU.

Or maybe it's a conspiracy against you because of your font and font color usage. The forum is fighting back.​​

Seems to be forum because the CPU usage goes nuts only when Kitty has forum-tab open and when she closes the CPU-eating Chrome-process in task manager, it's always the ARC-forum tab that crashes.
And if Kitty shortly looks at some other tab with for ex. wikipedia open, Chrome's CPU usage falls to 0. But when she looks at PWI-forums tab again, CPU usage jumps to constant 25-28%. And note, that's total CPU usage, not just one core.​​
