Does the legacy buff work for illusionary crystals?

One of my characters has the legacy item that gives 3x XP. I was wondering if that 3x XP buff worked for using the illusionary crystal (the item that brings you from lvl1-95). I have gotten mixed answers for this question from a bunch of people who don't seem to sure, so I'd prefer an answer from someone who knows for sure. Thanks!

Yes it works, just notice you may not be rebirthed already when you use it. Illusionary Crystal is for non-rebirth.​​

No. The only restriction was on the package that contained the stone, which was only given out at that one event.​​
