i think last year pwi had a promo spend so much money get an s card no joke have a copy of the web page and everything.

got a chest b-s card so i called them out on it send a pic of the promo and pwi did not honor it instead they imidiatly changed the web page.

i actualy have a copy of the ticket and there response to it and the full downloaded web page of the promo.

no one put a gun to my head and made me spend is what you say.

and because its a charge reward pwi doesnt have to honor it?

so if thats your mentality mr. they didnt stick a gun to your head i think the world would be better place with out people like you in it.

I am a bit sad with the anniversary event, I really wanted event gold this time, but even if there won't be any for me that's ok too.

I felt a bit sad cause I can't participate in most things. Events- times are very inconvenient for me (my bad I know). Spend/charge things, I can't do that now. The thing with the dreamchaser packs and rewards a while ago? I'm not a new player. How about the event with the players that have been members for 7 years? I haven't been here that long...To cut a long story short, I can't participate in most things. -_-''

Thank goodness for Treasure event, it's fun and I can do that!

So we have FIVE different things to look up to this Anniversary and THREE of those are cash shop related. Thats kind of sad.

Lets look at the events real fast to get things straight:

Anniversary Spend Promo - Cash Shop Event to some extend
Anniversary Charge Rewards - Cash Shop Event
Event Gold Tag Event - Cash Shop Event to some extend
Tsuchun's Treasure - Nice Treasure hunting quest, No Cash Shop involved.
Same old Smoke over Archo and Scholarly Challenge which are... nice i guess?

Should i count x3/x2 as an actual Anniversary planned event? dunno.

So Three out of Five (six if you count x2/x3 into it) are Cash Shop related and this bothers me. You can argue about the spend rewards but lets be honest its Cash Shop mostly and only the rich few can buy gold at the moment so normal playing players are out of the question for the most part.

I really Hope they have some tricks up their sleeves or else this would be the worst anniversary we had so far.

So for most of us things like the anniversary event is something we look forward to. It normally has some body to it and is a nice change. Well this year i'm soooo disappointed again pwi, you yet again put no effort into it...its late and so far sucks bollocks, all you gave us was smoke over arch and a map npc =\ oh can't forget the 3x exp and the charge to get event gold .-.

Give us some codes or something, most of us have been with you the full 7 years .-.

The events are actually quite nice. Esp. the map one. I enjoy getting an extra Barbaric Blood every day. The other events are the same old same old but they are still OK.

Anyone else remember 2 years ago when they messed up the anniversary gifts so they sent the maximum gift to all players? The next year they gave the exact same gift and made it so you could not use it twice. In other words; anyone that got an anniversary gift the year before got nothing that year. Anniversaries used to be something that everyone looked forward to because of the long-term double drops and other nice gifts that were given. They renig on previous years gifts, they make players spend in order to get anniversary gifts this year, and the 2x drop/3x exp weekends JUST on weekends? We used to get WEEKS of 2x drops to celebrate, not just the weekend days. PWI cares only for their profits and no longer cares about their loyal customers.
I don't know why any of us bother complaining though, they simply don't GAF.

Every single year the playerbase has complained about the Anniversary. Every single year.

Last year, which was probably the best one we've ever had, we got a bunch of codes including free Eternal Love fashion packs for everyone after we reached a Likes milestone. People still complained. They complained because they didn't like what the codes gave (which included things like event gold if I recall correctly) and wanted more. Years ago we'd get mounts, but people complained they are cheap recoloured ****.

I don't like that this Anniversary is so CS oriented. I really don't, but from a GM point of view, they probably see the playerbase as "they will complain no matter what we do so why bother?" or who knows, maybe they really are just trying to milk the last of what's left in the game.

Should people not complain about this Anniversary? Well, that's not for me to say, they do what they feel is right to do.

I just felt like throwing this comment out here.

I for one never ever complained about the yearly give aways before but this year sucks, there is no defending this, there was no effort at all put into this, except for how can we make more money.

They have so many complaints because they do not do things to keep their customers happy. If customers go into a restaurant and complain that the food is bad should the restaurant serve worse food to teach them a lesson that they should be happy with what they get and shut up? Kids these days have no idea how the real world works, they only know about how this game works and don't realize that this is years of being screwed over left and right. And like i said before; the anni code that they gave us last year was the same as the year before and couldn't be used again. You wanna say we complain about free stuff? That's not free stuff that's useless junk.

i miss the anni mounts i think a lot of people actually do and everything else they gave u-u i was hoping to get one for an alt this year sense the mount prices have gone nuts sense the merge, at least on the server i play.

This anni failed not even 3x. so at least give us 2x for the whole 2 weeks not just weekends. People have lives you know can't just farm only on weekends.

I'm pretty disappointed in the state of this anniversary. But I can't say I'm surprised since they gave us the most rewarding anniversary ever last year and people still complained that it sucked compared to some mythical other anniversary, and in general. At least we got 2x like always. Still sucks though....​​

Last few years, i liked the anni. I came to the alt game late, so i always looked forward to what my alts got and what my main got. 2x events were helpful in getting people to play more actively post vana frenzy. This anni seems bland, there is not much enthusiasm to be gained. Let's hope they don't do the same fiasco for christmas.​​

Well except that anniversary is and was always a big deal and not a quick money grab from PWI like this anniversary turned out to be.
a milestone like this should not look like a usual weekend looks like with charge reward, spend reward and whatnot but a celebration with the players with goodies here and there and maybe a code or two.

Expections? other then the big festivals (christmas, new year, anniversary to name a few) no i dont have expetions at all anymore and im grateful for everything PWE gives us inbetween.​​

Im pretty happy with the anni events. Sure some of it is cash shop oriented but they gave cash shop events in ADDITION to regular f2p events. 2x,smoke,and the treasure quest have all been great to get free stuff and experience. Ive gotten a nice chunk of rep farmed from the free quest. It seems pretty nice. Better than a green unicorn i already have.

yes im biased in this one - but the argument still stays : just so much fun things for the paying customer , the real f2p elements didnt look that appealing to me (given anniversary and chinese new year kinda always were THE 2 events to look out for)

But I can't say I'm surprised since they gave us the most rewarding anniversary ever last year and people still complained that it sucked compared to some mythical other anniversary, and in general. At least we got 2x like always. Still sucks though....​​

Honestly, I agree 100%. Last year was great for the anniversary for all players. Sure PWI kind of messed it up in that vets were supposed to get certain things, but most players gave up their vet toons for other character types as the game progressed so it worked out in the end for everyone from novice to veteran. And yet, people whined and moaned, and complained, and threw fits. The kindness of PWI was lambasted by many, especially a lot of the F2P players.

People also don't take into consideration ALL PWI has given us since then. The daily log in items. The 1200+ event gold, free mounts, free this, free that. What PWI employees probably see if they read the forums, is a bunch of ungrateful sniveling little hand-me-out brats. So why not do something a bit different and cater to those that spend the money to keep the employees EMPLOYED. We seem to forget they are also human with emotions. If they are just trying to milk the game with whats left, well that's a management call, not the call of a grunt worker, and a lot of it we can blame on ourselves.

So thanks PWI for everything over the years!! Thank you for all the freebies in the past. And thank you for what you do within the means given to you. Happy Anniversary!
