  • Is there a FAQ that covers things like are modules repeatable? How is loot handled, namely loot from the last (epic) module boss guy? How will they prevent exploits like designers putting in high level mobs that for whatever reason can't attack the players (like their damage has been set to 0, or they are melee yet put in…
  • Crosschan, thanks for your post. It was cool reading about the experiences of a EQ GM. I had good and bad encounters withGM's during my time on EQ, I recall the cool sparkling weapons and armor way before those effects became part of MMOs. You guys did good stuff despite being part of the evil Sony machine! Really wish…
  • Will do. Thanks
  • What about, if 40 people mute someone within a 2 minute window, a series of screen shots are taken and sent to a GM aid of whatever you call volunteers :). That way it would leave it up to the GM what action(s) are taken?
  • Oo way to encourage communication! We're I a Dev I'm sure a reply like that would make me come back and give more info. *sarcasm off*
  • That was one cool thing about Mortal Online, take all your clothes off and your nude. It was funny watching Americans try to get the devs to put underwear on the characters.
  • Welcome! My story is much like yours. Seems Neverwinter has attracted lots of us old PnP players. I hope all that experience will translate into some great Foundry missions!
  • Do we know how the leveling pace will be in NWO? I'm for the slowest possible system :D
  • Ah cool, thanks!
  • I think your keyboard shrunk or your fingers grew, one or the other :p It's Christmas, so everyone gets a pass for celebrating! Haha
  • I'm willing to accept that, perhaps this is the reason. If so couldn't they give us a brief FF Alpha update? Like tell us how it's going with the testing. Just a overview of what's ongoing on would work (for me). Will that. Satisfy everyone? Of course not, but it would be communication, and that's what many here want to…
  • Tried to find out some things about Eq3 a week or so ago, but couldn't find anything other then that its in the early planning stage. Do you have a link to a site that has more info about it?
  • I agree, but some of us just can't put our weapons down ;)
  • Just say no to Facebook! Lol
  • Well now that you mention it, ta heck with the Zen! Haha
  • Bags of Zen for everyone! Well Cryptic.....? :p
  • The good part, for Cryptic, is there's really no game that interests me other then Neverwinter. Aside from Archeage but that's several years down the road. People might get huffy and leave, but most will return for beta/release. What else is there out there worth a ..... .? The community here doesn't seem unreasonable,…
  • I've been wondering about this actually. Have they mentioned how long it should take to reach L60? (Or is max L50?). My earlier games, Drakkar and UO took years to reach the upper levels, so I tend to favor more difficult games. Many nowadays want to reach max in 2 weeks, and sadly, dev's are listening to them. So I wonder…
  • Rift is another. At least it was at release. I didn't play but a few months after beta. No clue if its kept its self spam-free though.
  • Another easy fix that would help everyone is a auto chat ban that would kick in if someone spams the same phrase X number of times, perhaps within X minutes. It would also help cut down on those people who repeat stuff over and over and over again, heh. We all have run into those kiddos before I'm sure! Someone mentioned…
  • On several of the game interviews, they said that they plan on adding connecting areas outside of Neverwinter. At launch there will be a few outside areas. But they will add more as the game and updates allow. Pretty much like Wow has done with their expansions. Except we won't get soaked like Bliz does by having to buy…
  • I think they are committed to their course. It's not too late to change it, but I'm sure in their eyes it is. Now a separate server with AD&D rules is very doable, not sure how receptive they are to that though. Personally I agree with you Missouk, it seems the 4e rules were written with a theme park MMO in mind. Oh I'll…
  • I can certainly understand the need to keep volunteers off of the GM enabled programs. I guess this discussion should have come before they laid the structure in place that they are using now. Back in EQ1 there was a guy who flipped out, was either a GM, or was using their program because he went to some impossible to get…
  • I don't get why they refuse to hire volunteers who live outside of their area. Many games have competent people who would gladly give their time to see a game succeed, or to improve an existing game. I know that this alone won't solve the problem, but having a staff of paid GM's that DON'T have to mess with menial tasks…
  • I "hope" that they will staff Neverwinter fully come launch, to do any less seems kind of crazy given that they have put so much time into promoting the game so far. If they ever let the spammers get a leg up on them, it will be really hard to get that edge back. I think allowing volunteers to become in game mods to help…
  • Done! :D. Thanks for the heads up Zebular!
  • Ya there are no options for how you want the poll to look, or how it's laid out. I wasn't going to edit in the code to change it up, it's not hard but takes time when there are no tools for it.
  • Ah haha I remember this module, the blisters and stuff were lots of fun :)
  • Well if a majority favors some limitations, so long as it stops the spammers, we could create another poll with various options of trade limitations to see what direction most people favor.
  • I'm curious as to how everyone feels about this topic.
