  • In non-premade matches this is spot on. Sadly in the pre-made meta there is little to no reason to bring a CW or a DC.

  • That looks scarily like an exploited site.
  • Just like they weren't mandatory in CoH but really were. If you wanted to PvP or even excel in the limited "raiding" they set up in that game the Accolades were certainly mandatory.
  • Please, no to an Accolade type system. I'm good with titles but NO power gains. I got sick of farming monkeys and all the other <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font> on every toon I wanted to level.
  • I think that would be a good idea. I'd love to know the percentage of level 60 characters that have actually completed CN. I suspect the number is pretty low.
  • Keep in mind the "PvP" set is actually quite good for PvE since there isn't a PvP specific stat. Running the dungeons does have a chance for loot outside of DD but you have to pay attention to what drops on each boss to decide to figure out if you need to do it. This is similar to how other games have worked.
  • Agreed, extra predictable rewards are a bad idea. Its much safer to change the loot table for mobs to have a chance for items to drop in epic dungeons.
  • I don't think much if any of the content should average more than 45 minutes. With today's technology its easy to create a multi-module arc if you want to have epic content. The days of 40 or even 20 person raids are dead and most players aren't interested in spending 2+ hours in a single instance.
  • Yes, its very doable but your CW has to pay much more attention to the timing and angle of the mobs in Singularity to get them over the fence.
  • Why should it take a long time and be a pita rather than taking a shorter amount of time but be more of a challenge?
  • Be amused all you want, but it would help more if you actually read what was posted. You're passive aggressive posting is also pretty transparent and not everyone who thinks dungeons should be both shorter in terms of trash (they're called that for good reasons) and more rewarding is an exploiter. I've got 2 60s, a 51, and…
  • Not to wax into economics, but keep in mind that "value" is a flexible thing. Observe that drops from Karrundax, which was arguably the most farmed T2, have already begun to creep up in price with increased difficulty of having to fight the mini-bosses in their proper location. Having said that, I am proposing that items…
  • 5k is the value of some of the crappy and or commonly dropped sets. I stated what I thought was reasonable and its not a single 25k item, but things that are vastly over valued because the only source today is from the Zen store as well as rank 5 enchants. Specifically mobs in epic dungeons and NOT normal world spawns,…
  • No, they don't. 5k AD is not valuable and perhaps even more important is that while yes, enchants drop, getting them from the dungeon trash is such a tiny fraction of the input of enchants that its meaningless noise. The fastest way (outside of buying from PWE or a botter) to get enchants is by farming nodes or running…
  • Wow, you made almost as much as someone can from just invoking and running leadership missions in PE....wait were you trying to say that was worth something?
  • Several of the early PE missions have them and of course Karrandux has tons.

  • Can't agree with this at all. CN (and most of the dungeons) are waaay too long and lack rewards worth the time outside of the bosses. Trash in this game is pure trash so its no surprise that people do everything they can to skip them. Fardelver is the same problem. All of the rewards are back loaded and there is no good…
  • Most of the challenges isn't boss DPS (this may change with the Rogue nerf on test) but with controlling adds. Because of that you'll find that Steal Time is much more important in most fights. There are exceptions to this but in general you won't be focused on the boss much of the time.
  • Rofl :) /10
  • I haven't seen a Renegade CW compete with a Thaurm build for DPS (AoE AND single target) since the last major patch. The only edge Rene has in st upfront burst, which is why its a better PvP spec. Over the course a boss fight the Thaurm will greatly exceed what a Rene can do with similar GS.
  • Pulling isn't much of a challenge for DCs or CWs and most TRs can do it well even with 40' ranged abilities. I'd really hate to stake my viability on pulling since its not a challenge as a whole.
  • If you were accurate this would be true but the reality is more like easier sometimes, faster almost never, and safer most of the time.
  • I agree, and I give them props for that. Like I said, the only thing I ding them on is continuing to use known broken stuff (I'm assuming/hoping they're reporting said broken stuff). They're on the same server as us and in my experience their players are good to game with in PvE and PvP.
  • No, that's not the point. The question is whether Lemonade Stand (and others) are helping build a successful comp environment or not. Right now they're doing a good job in publicizing high skill level PvP and certainly doing a good job in finding good builds & strats. What they're doing less well is creating a situation…
  • This ^^^^^
  • Look, you guys are pretty much model comp PvP'ers. Your forum posts are respectful in most cases, you're gracious in victory, and you've certainly done your homework on what does and doesn't work and more importantly works better than it should. The only thing I'd criticize you on is that your focus (IMO) ought to be…
  • That's because you're being logically inconsistent. You're drawing a line where taking advantage of an unintended coding flaw in your mind isn't cheating but using a script (or simply opening your inventory) to swap in a new armor piece to avoid the CD is. The effect is the same and both are unintended and BOTH take active…
  • Gonna have to apologize to you on this and others who commented on this thread. I ran ToS 8 times this weekend trying to get a consistent picture of what was happening and here's what I found: 3 runs no matter what KB was used the mobs did NOT die when knocked and the only benefit was getting the Blademasters out of range…
  • Guess, I'll have to make a recording to prove it. Knocking them while the animation is running absolutely does kill them instantly. The only thing I haven't tried to do is look at the boss' health numbers to see by how much it reduces the heal effect.
