I recently completed this on an alt without issue, so it is do-able. I'm on PS though. Just a couple of thoughts that I don't see specifically mentioned here. It seems like it might be a 'stuck in combat' issue, so have you tried: a) waiting until your companion wins the fight on the other side where it teleported? or, b)…
When CoK comes up in RTQ, I've had many more successes than failures. Move red circles away from the party, and prioritize adds when they pop. How hard is that? Yeah, I know, there's more to it than that, but if people do those 2 things, the success rate skyrockets.
Thanks for taking the time to write that out! Hopefully people will read, understand, and follow it. I kinda feel like "if you get arrows pointing down seperate, if you get arrows pointing in group up." should be spammed on every loading screen in-game.
Some good advice there, but still, this particular skirmish does have some tuning issues. Specifically, the number of mobs and the force with which they hit in the first phase.
Totally agree. Sorry, but anyone saying that the Tiamat trial is "all noise and no strategy" is exactly the problem with getting a completion when this pops up as a random. There is strategy - and not difficult strategy at all. I've completed this in randoms as both Healer and DPS. It is possible if people would learn.…
This skirmish is especially bad when it spawns the little dino-riding goblins in droves, practically covering the arena with those long red charge-lines.
I agree that the time spent in adventures and campaigns versus the rewards achieved is out of balance. IMO, the length of adventures is just fine though - it's the rewards that could use improvement. Granted, I've been around for a while and may not be able to put myself fully into a "newbie" perspective, but for example,…
I cannot speak for anyone else, but I fully agree that having the hunts set up in this manner is truly excellent design. I, for one, don't think I should be getting parts for mystic armor from solo (or as you say, "baby") dragons. My personal issue is that, after the initial questline, ancients are required for the…
I had one of the possibilities already as an account wide reclaim. I thought the odds were fairly good that I'd get something to at least increase the bolster on my latest alt, so I gambled and lost. I received the one I already had. I lurk around these forums a lot more than I post, and I've noticed that the message is…
I've recently brought up a new Rogue alt, and yeah, Redfox was an unusually long fight. Not difficult, just loooooooong. I'd done AI multiple times before without any issue whatsoever. If I were to guess, I'd say this became a thing when AI was converted to "Adventure" style. This new Rogue of mine is a bit twink-ish with…
Love this idea. IDK how difficult it would be to convert health stones in this way, but, I'm thinking of the green trowel in SKT - you buy 30 charges at a time that just get added to your existing item.
While Thaum retains CC and gains DPS, why couldn't Arcanist retain DPS and gain CC? Maybe it's just me, but I feel like Thaum is more of a DoT paragon from getting lit on fire and pelted with snow, while Arcanist is more of DD paragon. As far as CC goes, Thaum would be more of a slow / knockdown* whereas Arcanist would be…
If you already have the coals to burn, this may not be relevant, but if not, I'd recommend that before you upgrade any enchantment, check for the mythic version on the AH. Compare that price to the cost of the number of coals PLUS the number of GoPs you would need - I've found a couple of mythics at a lesser price myself.
Is the OP trying to say there are no penalties for disconnecting while in a queue instance? I've had legit disconnects where I've come back to the leaver penalty, so...
"Ancient" enchants are just RP at this point. They really should have been removed from the game with the whole rework, but rather than spend the time to hunt down all the sources and change the rewards to something new, they just got renamed.
Boooooo. Two thumbs down for the new look. I hope it is a mistake and gets addressed. And, maybe I've just been blinded by the white background, but I can't see a dev tracker anywhere.
I do like that I can now get "Appointment event" currency from running a daily in Day of the Dungeon Master. I also appreciate that a couple of the event-specific rewards have been added to the Appointment vendor. That said, I do not understand why other aspects of this event needed to be removed. I see no reason…
IMO, as soon as a campaign is considered "legacy", the keys made in the campaign ought to become skeleton keys, and the associated dungeon / trial chests should accept skeleton keys. When I first read about skeleton keys, I had actually hoped this would be the case. Tiamat, Valindra's Tower, FBI, Spellplague Caverns,…
